    Default Stretch and sweep?

I have mine today, just wanted to know your experiences with it, did it work? Did it hurt? Etc.
I'm 40+3 and having no signs of going into labor as yet. This is my first.
    Thanks!!

I had a couple done and they didn't work for me, but I have heard they did work for quite a few people so good luck! I found it more uncomfortable than painful

Worked brilliantly for my first. I only needed an internal, she didn't do the full stretch and sweep.

I was 3 cms with waters bulging. At 9.30am on Friday. It was uncomfortable, but not painful.

It caused some bleeding initially, which quickly turned to brown, but needed a pad for a few hours.

Then I had waves of period pain all afternoon and all that night. The next morning I had a contraction, then another an hour later, then one half hour after that. Went on like that, with contractions getting a bit closer tigether all day, til bub was born at 5.11pm on Saturday, waters broke spontaneously just before she was born.

    Good luck!

I had one with ds2. It was done at about 2.30 in the afternoon and at 9.53 that night he was in my arms

I had it done on my due date.

I won't lie, mine felt like I was being punched in the vagina, but the pain lasted literally 5 seconds. I was 40 + 6. But it worked, I had my first contraction about 4 hours later and had bub the next afternoon :-)

I had mine with my first at 38 week I was already 2 cm's dilated and I won't lie I felt like I was being torn open but once it's done it's done and it can help bring on labour, I started getting period pains that afternoon then 4 o'clock the next morning my water broke. Good luck and congrats for when your little is born

I had a couple of contractions the night before my s&s but they quickly disappeared. Had the s&s the next day at around 2 pm (I was 2-3cm dilated), went into (my 39hour) labour 1 hour later. It hurt but was over very quickly. Good luck!
