    Hi everyone!

Sorry I have been MIA I have had a hectic time lately, thanks to those that asked about me

I'm travelling ok, some days are really bad with violent nausea but all in all I think I am one of the lucky ones!
I have my 9week OB appointment on Thursday and quick scan so I am patiently waiting...waiting...waiting til then

I am so very passionate about stamping out domestic violence and this guy better be dealt with to the full extent of the law.
Through my teen years my mum was with a very abusive man after divorcing my father, it was a living hell watching her get beaten, raped, hot cups of tea thrown on her, whole pots of dinner flung across the kitchen, he even tipped a fully set Xmas dining table up onto her, food and all. He would control her every move, her eating, drinking, toilet breaks, clothes, hairstyles, had to answer her mobile within 2 rings...it was unbelievable. He was so terrified I was going to kill him one night he locked up all of the knives in the house and destroyed all of my mums guns making them unfireable (she is a competition shooter). She was too terrified to leave, the final straw was him bursting into the local pub blind drunk on rum and he wrapped a bar stool over her head and nearly killed her. while he was in lock up we moved out but he was still very much on the scene once out, threatening to kill her if she left town (any hero that gets his joy out of hurting women doesn't have the guts to kill anyone!). On the sly my dad (bio) helped us get a house far away and one night when he was away we all just up and bolted without a trace. But it doesnt end there, theres the constant nightmares, fear of being found and mental anguish associated with PTSD. Its been a long road that thankfully we are at the end of. Luckily he hasn't been able to track her down. She has moved quite a few times since then. A couple of years later the cops knock on mums door and ask if she has heard anything from him and that he has 3 warrants for domestic violence against other women. FFS justice system of Australia, how many times does this man have to destroy the life of a woman and family before you actually do something about it?
Even if my coupled or married friends speak to each other in appropriately I fire right up and I am an extremely passive person. The experience taught me what I will not accept from a partner!

Channy, sorry about your website being hacked. Shame your scan isn't in the morning on Wednesday. What a pain having to wait all day for it

Ponytail, good luck with your ob appointment. Thanks for sharing your story. How terrifying for your mum and yourself. Something needs to be done about the justice system, if people can get away with behaviour like that. It must be horrible that your mum can't just relax and enjoy life without worrying that he'll turn up.

FTM, thanks for the pic. What a cute little outfit she's wearing. And what a little cutie. Yay for 5 hours sleep.
