Sorry to hear MGC - hope your having "fun" as I'm typing - lol, great to hear you have a plan in place for next cycle already, has FS said what he's going to change up??? By the way, are you on DHEA??? I was always a low responder (with low amh) so always highest meds and long cycles to get my egg count - which doubled from optionally 3 to 4 eggs collected to 6 and on one cycle 11 eggs!!!

So sorry MGC, but I was a little relieved too that the decision to cancel was taken away from you. And stranger things have happened before when people have 'carefree fun'!!

    Simpson- not long till tomorrow...

Crofty....no, the FS didn't say what he's thinking of doing next, except that he said about making some changes??? I'm not on DHEA as my FS doesn't think it works (even though I've read great things about it on here and have mentioned it a couple of times to him). I have used Testogel for about 5 weeks last time and about 3 weeks this time (as you're stop using it when you start stimming - I think that's right??) This was my longest stim (15 days), I've had 14 days, a couple around 12 days, my first one was a quick 8 days!

Appointment to see Dr M is still two weeks off, so won't be using his treatment this 7th time - I liked your lucky 7th cycle. Hopefully my 7th is lucky without him :-))

MGC my FS doesn't like DHEA either, but I did a trial for saizen, not sure if I got it, but it might be worth asking about? It is $$ though, but ask as there are apparently a few different clinics in Australia doing the light study and you might get it for free. It's supposed to help with egg quality.

I'm sorry MGC. But it is better to not have to make that decision. Good luck with the "fun" tonight!

I've heard good things about Saizen and Luveris for poor responders. Another one I've heard about is using either Clomid or Letrozole for the first 5 days you stim.

Thanks peoniesarepretty, if this cycle fails I will definitely speak to my FS about those, I'd heard about luveris, but not using clomid or letrozole. I thought clomid was used for IUI?

MGC- A shame that the cycle is cancelled, but a relief that the decision ended up being taken out of your hands and you're not too upset. I had a little giggle at your DH being keen to catch the egg the old fashioned way! The weekend I ovulated before our BFP my DH & I were on a romantic weekend away, perfect timing for a natural miracle to go with our FET baby, but there's only one in there thank goodness!

TTHC- definitely not twins! Though I am eating enough for 3 haha.

Chiefsgirl- glad to hear you had a great night out at Aria. Its so important to have those moments where IVF doesn't consume your every thought and you can switch off. When will you find out if you had real saizen or placebo?

SpringRain- day 5 biopsy is a nerve-wracking process but well worth it. They can remove more cells from a blastocyst and a bigger sample is best for accurate results. I personally couldn't put my faith in results that came from a day 3 embie with only a single cell removed. Hope your AF makes an appearance soon so you can get going!

Traveler- My stomach was in knots last night, but I was OK this morning. Where did you go for your holidays?

Peonies- how is your pregnancy going? Any scans coming up or is that all finished now?

Hi Crofty, Bella, Lillac, Quartz & everyone else

AFM- Scan done and we saw our little blob! Measurements were perfect for 7wks 2days and heartbeat was 147 . So relieved we passed this milestone and I can relax a little now. After the scan, we popped in at our clinic next door to visit the FNs with our good news. They were so happy for us and said to keep popping in to show them my bump haha. Really excited now that we can start telling our families and close friends . Also feeling less guilty about all the food I've been eating now I know I really am growing a baby!

Congrats on a great scan, so glad everything read well and you could see your bub (can't call it a blob!). I think this is the one time in your life you don't have to feel guilty about eating!

I think I can request to find out after my bt results are in if I received the real deal or the placebo. Part of me hopes I got the real deal, but part of me hopes I didn't as we only got 3 slow growers to 5 days. Although maybe my quality is so bad they wouldn't have got there without it - who knows?
