HI, I've been reading this thread for a while too, but, like Chiefsgirl, it's taken me a while to get around to saying hello. Up til now I've been hanging around in the over 40 thread. SimpsonDesert, I've been following your CGH journey with interest as I'm about to start my first CGH cycle (but third stim overall)

Bertie, hope you get some good news on your follie growth soon

Chiefsgirl, for some beautiful day 5 embies

Just waiting on AF to start so I can get going. I have polycystic ovaries, but our official diagnosis is MFI.

Chiefsgirl- I couldn't cope with being in the dark like that! My clinic checks on Day 1 to give a fert result, then on Day 3 to see how many are still going and what stage they are at. Sending positive vibes to your embies

Fingerscrossd- hope you're going OK in the TWW so far
I received a text that just said "Your embryos are growing well and are on track for your embryo transfer. You should've started your crinone gel yesterday" that's it!! I need more than that! Oh well, nothing I can do about it except wait and put up with interrupted sleep and cramps from the stupid gel!

Chiefsgirl... I guess that's a sign of the times, to be updated by text, but it's hardly "personal" service. My nurses and FS and scientists are really good about ringing. The only thing is that it must be a policy of IVFA to always ask "How are you?" as soon as I answer, but of course, each time they ring and say that, I can't help thinking, "I know how I am, just spit it out and tell me the news you rang for, good or bad?"

AFM.... BT levels this morning are 1450 (so almost doubled from 2 days ago, when they were looking dismal at 750). Only three follicles - 17, 11 and 9, so the big one grew normally, but the two others only at half speed. FS phoned again this afternoon recommending cancelling, and asked what I thought about that. I said, "if I cancel, then I'll definitely get no eggs, but if we go ahead then, yes, I may still get no eggs, but I might get 1 or 2 eggs, and that would be better than none." He said we can keep stimming over the weekend and have another BT and scan on Monday morning. I asked, if there was a possibility of getting all three to be captured, and he thought there was a good chance of that. I keep crunching the growing numbers and can't really get it to do it, so am in a bit of a quandry as to cancel or not. Guess, I can't really worry about it until we see Monday's numbers.

Chiefsgirl-Good luck with your transfer today!! You'll be PUPO in no time & hopefully you end up with some beauties in the freezer too!

Simpson-how are you going Hun? Only a couple of sleeps until you see bub xx

Spring-welcome!! I'm hoping it's 3rd time lucky for you! Waiting for AF is a killer & of course it's usually late when you're waiting for it!!!

MGC-I'm really keeping my fingers crossed that you get surprised by some better results on Monday! It must be really hard when the decision to continue/cancel is in your hands-don't you wish you were just told what to do one way or the other? Xx

Hi ladies, well I'm pupo, but not holding much hope. They put back in two 10 cell embryo's. the FS didn't really say what grade, but his face said it all. We had one other 10 cell but a lesser quality and the other two had hardly passed the initial fertilization'

I asked him to be blunt about my chances and he admitted they were slim. Just feel like crying!

Chiefsgirl-I'm so sorry things didn't go to plan. Did FS give you a reason as to why the embryo's weren't where he's expect them to be? How did your other cycles go with fertilisation/embryo's etc?

Just try keep your head up & I'll keep everything crossed that you are pleasantly surprised when the TWW is over, lots of things have happened with 'slim' chances! Xx thinking of you

Thanks TTHC, I've never had any 5dt before. My first cycle just one of two embies made it to day 3 and it was a c. Second time it was an 8 cell b grade and a 5 cell c grade. So I just seem to have egg quality issues. They put it down to my age- 39 and I have low amh.

MGC- sorry to hear you're still in limbo and facing the decision to cancel. Would it be worthwhile switching to IUI so those 3 eggs don't go to waste? One of them could be the golden one! I hope things are clearer on Monday xo

Chiefsgirl- Not cool that your FS put a downer on your PUPO-hood! All I can say is that embryo gradings have nothing to do whatsoever with the genetic competence of the embryos. Many BFPs on this forum have come from low graded, slow embies. Please hang onto hope and have a fab time tonight! Sending you loads of babydust

TTHC- yes only 3 more sleeps! I'm starting to think there's twins in there. My belly is out of control, getting fatter by the minute! How can this happen at only 7wks??

Fingerscrossd- Hope you have a busy weekend to take your mind off the TWW. So hard when the time drags... I really hope there's an embryo floating around in there looking for a cosy spot!

Springrain- Hi & welcome! I'll pop you on the roll call next time I log in on the PC . CGH has certainly been good for us, once we knew our embies were OK that put the spotlight on immune issues as the real cause of all our failed transfers. Will you be doing day 3 or day 5 biopsy for the CGH?
