SimpsonDesert... thanks for the roll call and well wishes. Wow - you've got a massive time coming up - no resting there.

Just sat and ate a piece of pineapple core!!! I'd read lots of things saying that eating pineapple core for the first three days after transfer helps, but to be honest, I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong - it's as chewy as old boots (not that I've ever eaten old boots!!). Perhaps I wasn't meant to eat it, but rather just suck the juice out. Any suggestions???

Yes TTHC well spotted and thanks! It was my b'day yesterday, now officially a member of the over 35ers . We didn't do anything special, the fun stuff is all happening next weekend for DHs b'day. Did get spoiled and I'm still working my way through kg's of boxed chocolates lol.

The Time Has Come.... thanks for your thoughts. Only 1dp5dt at the moment, so not feeling anything at all yet.

The scientist rang this morning to say that none of the other embies were good enough to freeze :-(( I would have love to have had one, but never mind, at least we got to transfer stage this time. Interestingly after day 3, the 6 cell embie never progressed, while the 5 cell one caught up and did became a morula. Apparently the other 8 cell also progressed a bit, but wasn't looking good. But it's good to know that I can get embryos to grow past day 3.

I know you posted this a couple of days ago but..... I ate pineapple core once a day for 5 days after transfer. I just had a slice and ate the whole thing, not just the core

Fingerscrossd- hope DPs AF showed up and all is on track now.

Traveler- I hope your household is illness-free soon. Today was especially icy, would have loved to stay indoors rugged up.

Lillac- you'll be too busy looking after a newborn by the time I'm having FET! Hope the chores are done & dusted and you're finding some time to put your feet up.

Hi to Peonies, Crofty, Bella, TTHC and everyone else

AFM- The 4th BT was the lucky last, O was right on time on CD14. My scratch biopsy is going to be on Mon 29/7. Also moved into the next phase of my immune protocol. Swapped the dexamethasone for prednisolone and booked in my intralipid infusion for 18/8. Things are VERY hectic at home prepping for DH's big 40th bash and the arrival of in-laws from QLD this coming weekend. Anything to take my mind off IVF is a welcome distraction .
    Hello Simpson

Yep DP's AF arrived Saturday. I started Gonal last night and DP is on Progonova tablets

    Hi Ladies!

Happy birthday SD! It was mine on Saturday. We Cancerians are lovely, aren't we?

Bertie - sounds positive for your transfer. Bummer about no frosties, but a day 5 transfer - woo hoo! I have everything crossed. I have eaten pineapple core before ... or you can just take Bromelain capsules (Herbs of Gold brand does them). It's supposed to be the Bromelain that helps implantation (and Selenium also, which there's plenty of in Brazil nuts) and that's only in the core. You can eat the flesh too for flavour, but it doesn't really help anything. (who knows if the core does either, but worth a try!)

Hi to everyone else. Crofty - hope you're doing well.

AFM: We had an ob appointment on Monday, which was good. He had a look at bubs & was very happy with everything. He gave us an indication of gender, but wasn't sure, so I'll wait 'til the morph scan on 5/8 to confirm. He has also seen the operation report from my myomectomy and says C section at 38 weeks. Before he saw the report he seemed quite positive about the possibility of a vaginal birth, so I guess the details changed his mind. I was always expecting it, so not disappointed. Hope everyone's well.
