Sometimes I'll have a glass of wine or two on the weekend, sometimes I won't drink for weeks. Before pregnancy and babies I lived my wine. A full bottle every Friday night...more if it was a social event

Its very deceiving haha, im like "this is only my second glass" and half the bottle is already gone!
I'm with you SoThisIsLove, I think my idea of a glass of wine is probably a bit bigger than other people's idea (cos I definitely don't get 7 glasses out of a bottle....). I have been around drinking since I was a teen living on university campus, so it was always just a norm for me and my circle of friends. Since having kids though my party days have come to an end. But if we have friends over, I could still easily drink a bottle of wine on a weekend and feel "happy' but not blotto. I wonder though if many of the bigger drinkers would actually want to admit that on here? It definitely seems to be something you are looked down upon for.

I'd only drink on a night out. The last one was about a year ago and I would drink to get drunk. So id have maybe 9-10 vodka and orange juices in a standard 7oz pub glass. Our I'd have 5-6 kahlua and milks in a highball.. I don't drink any other time.

When I was a Drinker I would consume either a bottle of wine or a 6pk, that was only at home if I went out normally a lot more

I haven't had alcohol since Australia Day last year, but my wordy I used to be able to put it away. I'm an extremely high functioning drunk, unfortunately, so it's very easy for me to drink too much. But OP, I never realised the limits for females were *quite* so low!

When not pregant (had to open with that haha) I can easily drink a bottle of wine/champagne on a Friday/Saturday night. It's a massive love of mine and eating/drinking are just things I enjoy.

I drink more than the recommended amount, I know that. But in all other aspects of my life I'm really healthy, it's my one vice. I also don't need to drink (easily give up when TTC/pregnant) but I do miss it, I love sitting down on a Friday night relaxing with a few drinks.

When I was younger it was 10-15 standard drinks over an evening, maybe once a month.

As I got older, I just couldn't handle that... I'd start feeling sick after about 5 standard drinks over an evening.

These days... once every few weeks I might have about 3 standard drinks in an evening (usually wine with dinner), or I might have 1 standard drink a couple of times a week (again, with dinner). A few nights ago my partner and I had some drinks together... I had 5 1/2 standard drinks over about 5 hours and was QUITE tipsy.

Not a bigger drinker at all. Dh and I will have 2-3 beers a few times a week on the weeks he's home and I tend not to have any when he's away, perhaps a few glasses of wine with a girlfriend perhaps once a week if that.

DP and I contain alcohol to the weekends. My limit is 3 beers, i am BF so its over many hours. Plus I have gastrointestinal problems, so when I do have a drink I'm in pain for a day afterwards. DP will have 4 or 5 beers, sometimes more if he's out with mates.
