    Default Another toilet training question.

Hi all, just after some advise or opinion in toilet training.
DS is 2 years and 3 months old and hasn't been toilet trained. I am not sure if he's ready yet.
I can pretty much tell when he's pooing, he would be very still and quiet and most of the time he would go somewhere private. Sometimes he would say poop before he poops, some times he would tell us after but most of the time he wouldn't say a thing because he hates changing nappy and he doesn't mind sitting in wet or dirty nappy at all! He could sit in his pooy nappy without complaint for as long as we allow him to. I tried to put him on the toilet couple of time, we bought the toilet set insert but he's totally scared to sit on the 'hole' he thinks he'll fall. He knows what we do on the toilet but he just hates it.
Do you think he's ready? Is it better to get him a potty in this sort of situation?
    Thanks!

I encouraged it by reading books and talking about the toilet whenever I could but I waited until my kids both started showing an interest before I really tried.

Our boy was scared to sit on the toilet too - even though I would love all his business to go straight in the loo - so I got him a potty and he's much happier to sit on that.
