    Default Upper lip lie?

Was talking to a friend and she mentioned her sons upper lip tie, then went to check DS... I think it is? He had an awful latch breast feeding, no matter what I did to try to correct it. Wish someone had noticed it earlier

Both my boys had this, it did not affect there feeding. The dr, dentist and CHN all said to leave it. The dentist was the only one to say maybe in the future he would do something about it but normally they break naturally cause kids fall over and smack it on the ground/table/pole etc.

Exactly what both of mine did!

DD has this too. Dr said just to leave it ad it shouldn't affect speech development or anything. DD is 1, and has had no probs latching.

I think it could cause a gap between her front two teeth though.

My 5mo has this (tongue tie snipped at birth) we are seeing a pediatric dentist this week to asses whether it needs lasered. She is exclusively breastfed. Will only do it if it is going to affect her speech.

Jumping - is your DD's speech affected by the upper lip tie?
