If I got any undesirable attention for dressing in short clothing, it's not my fault, it's not up to me to control other people's actions, that's their issue to control. It's not 'just what happens' because people are more than capable of controlling their actions.

The dress in the pic, IMO, would be okay at the beach or pool.

I think dresses that short worn anywhere else are impractical and attention seeking. I don't want to see that high up anyone's legs.

Women who wear such garments aren't 'asking' for anything, though they will certainly attract leers and wolf whistles from sleazy scumbags.

Even if I was much younger with a killer body I wouldn't sport that style for that reason. Plus I like to bend over and sit down freely without worrying about flashing my private zones!

To be fair though, So This Is Love said that attracting attention is "just what happens". She didn't say that onlookers being unable to control their emotions towards the person in the short dress is "just what happens".

Certainly how people dress will communicate something about them. People will dress how they like and some sectors of society will think it looks good, and some will think it looks bad.

Who cares? Dress how you like. People are still going to have an opinion. But if you are happy with how you look, why should you care?

If you saw someone wearing a star trek uniform, are you saying you wouldn't have an opinion on the person? Truly - there are people out there who wear these for their wardrobe.

People who wear designer brands may be seen as snobs, people who wear dreds and hippy clothes will be classified as hippies/ferals, and many people will say they are dirty too which is without qualification and unfair. It is just how society is. Who cares??

Seriously - I can't believe this thread has become so serious.

I think it's a shorty dress to wear over swimmers. I don't see the issue? She has a lovely figure, good on her.
Some pp's have said it "sends a message"- what message is that, exactly? A person should be able to wear whatever makes them feel good without having to worry about what "message" someone else interprets from it. Reminds me of this:

Meh, she looks like she just came from the beach, she's in a bikini and looks like she has just thrown something on over the top. She's at the diner, I assume, which is right on the beach isn't it?
I don't see the big deal. I see girls wearing super short shorts all the time, you see a lot of bums around the shops these days and I always think, why would you want everyone to be able to see your @rse? But it's not me wearing it so it's not my problem.

i dont like people calling people names especially "sk***k" or anythink clearly derogatory . it makes my stomach turn. If you dont like what someone wears.... dont look. Cant see how the dress sense of someone affects anybody else.
