They scheduled me EPU on Friday after DH surgery. Well, the FS convinced me that I should go with eggs freezing if nothing is found on DH. But now i have to think about if it is worth $8000+ for freezing them given that it is such a low number. I might well start a new cycle when we have medicare. However, i really hope things change tmr.

In any case, I am afraid that EPU on day 14 is unlikely because the Dr. who will do DH surgery isn't very flexible. Tmr supposes to be my last scan and then trigger so the date of friday. BUT i really hope that they will do it accordingly rather than pushing the entire thing. We come all the way to sydney, few more days don't make a difference.
I only had 1 lead follie with lots of little ones, i was so surprised when i got 11 eggs, 7 where mature enough for fertilisation... remember there is generally more than 1 egg in a follie...

Also does that $8000 include transfer? They won't charge that if all eggs are frozen...

Hmm....they only saw 2 little ones on top of the 3 good ones. but i am hoping few pops up. Good to know that 1 follicle can contain more than an egg!

No $8000+ just for the freeze. Sperms are cheaper, just the eggs. Transfer is separated charge, which small amount compared to the whole cost. So it would be $22k if i go freeze. But i always hope they find sperms!

Hello ladies I need some advises, I have folisistic ovaries, before I start the ivf treatment next year, Dr.jay advised me to take Levlen for few months to clear all the follicles, then when I start ivf, hopefully it will havest lots of eggs. So I just wonder is there anyone here had this experience?? Did it work? I just start my period today, I'm told to take the tablet from day 1.

Like Amy said its around 20, clinics differ. Mine was more than 3 follies above 17mm before they'll trigger

It looks like just as they planned. Everything is ready to go on the trigger tonight despite the low number of follicles this cycle. If i recall from the number this morning, one is already at 22mm. I have 2 other good ones. The rests seem a bit small. Waiting for the phone call. FX. It only takes one and they find something on DH.
