Arlais, what test are you talking about? There are many "if" for us. We don't know if the doctor will find any sperm via DH surgery or not. The Dr gave us a stat of ~10 if any, just enough for fertilization. The Dr will not perform the surgery again. It is an one off thing. Thus, if my side of thing is great, then it is one less variable to worry about.

Some people get forms of genetic testing on their embryos where they extract a single cell to look for abnormalities. There's a risk that some embryos won't cope well with this and succumb, so if you only have very small numbers of embryos to work with the testing might not be worth it.

Generally it's only done though if there's known potential issues to be passed on, or several failed cycles indicate there could be an issue with embryo quality. In your case though it sounds like you're mostly dealing with male factor?

Hey girls hope you don't mind me jumping in here. Can anyone help me out I was seeing a FS in the town near where I live and he was nasty and not helpful, I am now heading to Hollywood fertility in January and was wondering how and if any of you got your records from previous FS.

Just ring the receptionist & ask what you need to do to have the, forwarded, they are your records & you have a right to them. Plus if your old FS is not nice they'd be used to people transferring!!

Yes no known genetic issue. Yes MFI. Thus it is a bit sad to know that i have poor response to the stim drug.

    Hi Twisty
I got all my records posted to me. I had to apply in writing and include both mine and my partners DOB and Medicare numbers. They charged an admin fee - think it was around $50 - but no dramas. Just check what the protocol is with the receptionist.
