Bbhope, I think it's completely normal to be worried about how your body will react since everyone is so different, plus the added pressure you have doesn't help... With all the BT's & scans you will have leading up to EPU you'll have some idea before you go in how you are responding... Plus if you aren't responding well or too much they will adjust your dose, mine was adjusted as I wasn't responding as well as I should have.... Fingers crossed for you that it all goes smoothly XX

Yes bb - they will keep you up to date during your cycle with ultrasounds and blood tests so hey can adjust your medication if you aren't responding. They will measure follicle growth and length. I think I had 15 good follicles which they got 5 good eggs from. It's all about quality not quantity in the end

Then, is there a magic formula to produce good quality of eggs? Deficiency in vit D is a concerned to me, although my GP increases my dose to 2 as opposed to the normal 1 dose.

I never got tested for Vitamin D and I would assume I'm slightly deficient since I too had and office job and rarely go in the sun as I've got very fair skin!!

The first cycle is always a bit of a guessing game as they have no idea how your body can react but they adjust all your medication along the way to get the best possible result.

    Best of luck bb

Everyone is different BB, what is the magical formula for one wont work for the next. Or we'd all be on the same things. The best you can do it take all the suggested vitamins and have a healthy diet...and even that wont guarantee success. I was on CoQ10, Elevit, Vit D and was doing acupuncture.
I was so worried about getting that perfect number of follicles and eggs and in the end it did me no good. From the girls I cycled with that got pregnant, one had only one surviving embryo from 10, one got a natural miracle after a failed IVF cycle and one got lucky with a FET.

Good luck to everyone cycling or close to again, just an update as to where we are at. Had EPU on Wednesday, they got 8 eggs, 5 mature and 2 fertilised. 1 is at a 4 cell stage the other a 2 stage, 1 fertilised late, we just found out the extra one did this morning so both a bit behind but keeping everything crossed we get to transfer early next week. Feeling a lot better this round, no where near as sore as last time. Still very bloated but to be honest its the waiting that is driving me crazy now.

How crucial is it to have gonal-f refrigerated? I got the instruction etc in the mail. I read the schedule. No way I'll be in Sydney before the start of gonal-f. No idea how they are going to post me without the refrigeration from Sydney. Nvb, how did they do it for you?

Hi Bb. Don't worry about transport. All my medication was sent from IVFA Sydney to Perth via courier in a small cooler bag with ice packs. Always arrived cold and then I put in the fridge.
