Kelbel sending you lots of hugs.

Rose my last cycle we had to use frozen sperm due to DH being in hospital and I was stressing about it. Now we have a 3 month old sleeping at the moment.

DD and I are painting our nails purple with anchors tomorrow night because it is the start of the school holidays and it is out bit to support freo.

I hope everyone enjoys their long weekend.

So did I!! My DH isn't a sports bloke but Freo coming to victory is a must see.

Thanks Samarasmum, you have made me feel better.

I had a BT today, preg BT is next Friday - my clinic do one a week before too.

They want to see progesterone levels above 70 and mine were 428 so they are happy that I have a good environment going on for a potential BFP - I hope so!

Have a great weekend all :-)

I'm a bloke, but hope you don't mind me joining in as I seek more information. I've just been diagnosed with severe azoospermia, I already have one child, doctor seems to think problems when I was little caused early testicular failure. Any ho.. There is still enough to try IVF, we told the fertility specialist we wanted to think about it, now decided that we'd like to go ahead. Can someone explain what the next steps are? Will they want to monitor my wife's cycle, or do they just jump straight in?

Thank you all for sharing your experiences. The added info really helps.

Hi there Sleepydude... What clinic are you going to?

When my hubby & I went through IVF/ICSI they didn't monitor my cycle or anything to start with, I was about a week of day 21 of my cycle so we started straight away... I used a nasal spray called synarel from day 21, from my understanding this simulates menopause so stops you from ovulating, when my AF finally came I started injections of gonal-f & was then monitored every second day using blood tests & ultrasounds, my dose of gonal-f was increased early on as they didn't see as much follicle growth as they would have like (the reason they do the monitoring) then once I had enough large follicles I was given a time to do my trigger injection, it's done I think like 10 hours from surgery (egg pick up)... I went in had my EPU, we had 11 eggs collected, our eggs where fertilised using ICSI as my hubby's count is quite low, 5 days later we went back & had the best looking embryo put back in me... We where very lucky & it worked for cycle for us & now have a 7 month old baby boy... We also have 4 embryos frozen for the future. Hope that helps... :-)
