Hi Booboo 78, Went to FSS yesterday for my appointment with the doctor and my 21day scan. Scan is all clear and we are good to go for our next rounds of IVF. The doctor has changed my meds slightly, I am now going to go on menopur @ 200 injections, this is supposed to help me produce more eggs hopefully. The remainder will stay the same being Orgalutran and the final injection before the egg collection. During our first cycle our single egg developed perfectly to a 5 blastis (I think that's what its called lol!) however on day 12 it was a bfn which they obviously cant explain. It was so helpful this time around to be more prepared for my appointment too, thanks I asked him about the DHEA but he said that isn't something he would recommend with our situation and age. I wish you all the very best with your next IVF cycle, hopefully we both get a BFP!!!

I was on Gonal-f @ 125. I see you not starting till sept/oct, is that cause your going to allow the use of the DHEA? I hope we both get what we want for Xmas this year!

there r so many diff meds still trying to understand them all. yeh they say 3 mths u should be on the DHEA to see any type of effect, by that stage it will be a bit under but sick of waiting, 1st cycle June, just want to get started again. I hope so too, that would be the best xmas present ever our little miracles happen

I don't know if it is helpful or not, but I got more eggs with a flare cycle. I know I'm older but I went from a cancelled cycle with 2 follies to 5 follies. With the flare cycle, you "prime" with synarel, then you start your gonal and continue with synarel as the suppressant (stops you ovulating), then trigger as normal. If this cycle isn't successful, you may want to consider asking your specialist about it.

Booboo, you are so right about being prepared. I find a lot of my questions go out of my head. Also other stuff comes up during the appt and I'd really be better to have a think and see what questions come up. I allow myself to be rushed and then get home and think of things I should have asked. Of course, you are then stuck with having to make another expensive appt to ask them!

Good luck to those who are cycling!

Verapamil is a blood pressure med. apparently it's used just before and just after transfer to stop contractions in the uterus. I had bad cramping after last transfer and my fs said this helps if they stimulate ur lining too much during transfer causing cramp. Sen it for a nice little sleep (her words not mine) lol
