Hey. Good luck for next week. Plan to do nothing the day after. You will be sore and need time to recover. Generally though u will go in, after a quick chat with the doc you will have a nice little sleep and when u wake up you will get the good news of how many eggs were collected. Make sure you have someone to look after you that afternoon, my DH was a gem for the days after retrieval.

i had my egg retrieval today cd 12 at Hollywood. I was asked to get there at 9 am and was the last one in at 12. It was pretty much a quick experience had my blood pressure done asked me to changed into gowns and then was introduced to the lady looking after my eggs and the anesetiest. The doctor ( who was different to the one I had my consult with) came into said hello and introduced herself to my partner. he then went for his part and i went to the procedure room. Once I was on the table I don't remember a thing lol. All the nurses were great!! I had very little cramping a no bleeding but some of the other ladies looked pretty uncomfortable . the whole time i was under till i walked back into the waiting room was 2 hrs. Now I'm waiting for the phone call in the morning to hear if the 11 egg were successfully fertilised. Good luck with your epu next week!!

Best of luck Becs. I was like a Mum whilst mine were growing - I kept ringing every day to find out what stage they were at! My little Ruby is proof that it only takes one xx

No special treatment, just extremely lucky I guess... I was on Syneral & gonal F, with a ovidriel trigger...We have MFI so my egg quality must be good...?? Just guessing as we had no procedures on me before, just a scan, to check I was in working order... I plan to do a cycle & donate my eggs at some point, I feel so fortunate so want to give back...

I hope we are in the same boat Amy, MFI is what is supposedly the only thing holding us back. Donating sounds like an amazing gift, I've had a rough trot so I dunno if I could do this again. See how your cycle goes I guess.

gl with that Net3811, do most clinics deal with ED and donor sperm?
wish u all the best for EPU Wishnhope, make sure u drink plenty of water, i had a little bleeding and was pretty sore for about 5 days but then you hear others who r good after a day or so, like my friend who just had hers. Everyones diff.

Pray all 3 make it Becs79, are you likely to have a 3 or 5 day transfer?

AmyEl, congrats on your DS, that is such an amazing gift if you do decide to donate

CD7 for me now, just feeling flat, just under 2 weeks till we see the specialist again, couldnt come quick enough now, need to get this started again.

Just a few links I wanted to share with you all, I will be talking with our specialist about this, I know they did mention something about adding calcium to sperm to possibly help with fertilisation rate

Hope you all r having a good w/e, whos watching the footy?
