What was with that? I had 2 babies in Victoria and I've never heard of a 9 month old check up.

Good point ladies! Zoe was getting needles too. I'm guessing they're taking 'poetic license' when it comes to childrearing.

(Did I use the right licence/license there? I'm a teacher, I should know!)

    No, Stretched
Licence is the noun...as in "poetic licence".
    License is the verb.

I had a feeling it was wrong. Glad there's someone around with a longer degree than me to correct me.

(Did I mention literacy is not my forte? I have little 'cheat sheets' in my daily planner folder so I remember what an adjective is. :P )

Stretched, I'm just a doctor...however, I think I am one of the few who at least tries to use correct grammar!
Like meredithgrey, I learnt most of my grammar when I was studying French.

What's my excuse then? I studied 2 years of French at school and 3 terms of Spanish as an adult!

Can I say lol at "just a doctor"!

OK...so even if it is a small private hospital with 1-2 deliveries per day...why are there 3 Staff OBGYNs who all seem to be rostered on at the same time?!
I know it's TV, and therefore flawed...but I still LOVE it!
They need to give Kim another meaty storyline...I just love her! She is just such a great CNC/Charge Nurse.

J37 the funny thing for me is it is set in what was the old Mercy hospital which had a very large obstetrics unit.

My birthing hospital was smallish, regional (in a baby-boom area though) private that took public patients. No high risk. No NICU. Has 3 OBs on on-call rotation. But about 20 gazillion midwives, RNs and ENs running around the department. Who does all the work at "St Francis"??

My booking midwife was like what Kim will be when she's 50. I got my nose out of joint with her when I was a precious 1st time mum but really appreciated her no-nonsense approach second time around.
