    Question TTC after dental work

    Hi Ladies.

June will be my first month TTC after a couple of months of the pill just trying to get my body in order.
I am super excited BUT, I have arranged to see the dentist for a deep clean under IV sedation during my fertile period (the earliest appointment I could get).
Does anyone know how soon after the clean we can start BD'ing? Does the drug stay in my system for a period of time after the clean or is it all ok once the drug has wron off?

It might seem like a silly question...but I really don't want to have to wait another month if I can avoid it (impatient, I know). I have been very organised and really trying to do all the right things in readiness for June but I have been restricted by the availability of appointments with my dentist.

Would love to hear your thoughts...

Drugs can't pass through the baby until it implants, and the placenta is formed. So I wouldnt worry...

I would think it would be out of your system in 1 - 2 days. I was told that chronic mouth infections and the bugs in the mouth can cause miscarriage and other pregnancy issues, so it's a good thing to get it done before you get pregnant. I was going to the dentist before getting pregnant but never got around to it and then once I was pregnant I had a horrid gag reflex, so the dentist wasn't an option. You're doing the right thing and I would think it would be fine to get pregnant after the clean.

Thanks everyone. Dental work done and dentist confirmed no issues for TTC straight away. Drug supposed to be out of the system within 24 hours so the BD'ing has begun!
    Fingers crossed
