I thought I would post an update now that we are 8 months old !!!!

    ImageUploadedByTapatalk1391380746.508715.jpg

Happy, healthy and weighing in at at 6.1kg !

Everything is going fine developmentally and we have been told by the respiratory specialist he has no reason to see us any more. We just have a follow up appointment with the paediatric heart specialist to see if the PDA is closed fully but other than that we are just being consumed by our little miracle !

No - we didn't ever find out. We joke now about the 'dodgy uterus' but it could have been anything that caused it. 15mins before the placental abruption my wife had an ultrasound followed by a very 'aggressive' abdomen examination after the ultrasound. To this day I believe that is what caused it to happen that day. In saying that, it may have been a blessing in disguise because if it had of happened at home both Mum and baby would not have survived.
