    Default DIY stretchy

I have some jersey lying around (like any good fabric hoarder) and want to cut it into a stretchy wrap for when bubba arrives. I've found instructions online that seem to be as simple as taking 5.5m and cutting it in half lengthwise. But one mentioned tapering it so it's full width in the middle and less wide at the ends. So those with a stretchy, is it all one width or do the ends taper? I'm thinking tapered ends would mean less bulk to tie etc.

I used to use a hug a bub and I'm fairly certain that the ends were tapered. Good luck!

I made mine and didn't taper the ends, but I think I probably would if I were to make one again as it was a bit bulky to tie off. Not problematic though.

Tapered. From memory it was around 50cm in the middle and tapered to 15cm at each end. Bit of a PITA to mark out and cut, but totally worth it, I think.

    Thanks ladies!

I'm sure the real PITA part will be the first time I try to actually tie it onto me and get baby into it! I'd say you tube will be my friend for a few days while I work it out!
