Sandy - thank you for your response RE the clexane and pred. I've been really nervous about starting it. Not so much the injections (although I'm sure when I'm faced with injecting myself for the first time I'll be very scared) but more the side effects of the Pred... I'm still waiting for AF and then we'll know if DH will be home at a fertile time. If so we'll go for broke with it all I think. Really great news that your spotting has stopped! I have my fingers crossed that all continues to go well for you.

B123 - Congrats on getting to 10 weeks! Just wondering if you wouldn't mind explaining what IVIg is?

Crofty - Wow, you must be so excited to be 13weeks and now over the first trimester hurdle. Can I ask what your protocol has included?

Libelle - Wow what a journey you've already have - I wish you all the best and the ladies here a certainly a wealth of information.

Hello all, I've just picked up this thread as I was looking for info on dr Matthias and this came up. I joined Bub hub last month for some support for 1st ivf attempt. I'm writing because I'm desperately wanting to explore my autoimmune issues and figure out if it is causing my infertility. I have an immunologist but they are not certain on a diagnosis. They r thinking sarcoidosis though. Are there any other ladies out there with immune diseases (sarcoid/lupus/behcets/graves etc) who also have discovered natural killer cell or other immunological reproductive issues?

Hi ladies, I just stumbled upon this thread and I'm wondering if you can help me? I stupidly forgot to start taking prednisolone on cycle day1. I had egg transfer today and just realised. I also was supposed to commence clexane last night. Anyway I took a half dose of prednisolone before and will have my injection tonight. Have I jeopardised anything?

OneLove: IVIg is immunoglobulin. Thats the drug that they started to use for immune problems - its a blood product - but since they found intralipid which is alot cheaper and works almost as well as IVIg they have started to use that instead.

Team Panda: Have you not been taking the steroids at all? Thats not good but maybe it will be ok!!! How much should you be taking a day? What other drugs are you on? Good luck in your 2ww

Team panda most of us have usually started prednisone from 21 days before EPU- have you not taken until today? You'd be best off speaking to your specialist about that as the pred may not absorb into your system to suppress it now in enough time for implantation - with clexane, doesn't matter what time of the day you take that - good luck!!

Hi Panda, I'm new here and not diag for nkc or being treated for it, but I've been on pred quite a few times. People, and their different immune problems react differently to it. Most people need some run in time to suppress their immune system fully. If u have forgotten to take it to now, there is not much u can do other than to make sure you immediately start your full prescribed dose. No part doses as urgent use of pred needs immediate full dosage. It may still help. When I have had a full immune flare up, I've been fully suppressed in about 4 days on 30mg per day. So just follow your protocol and try not to worry too much.

B123 Ive taken the steriods for last 4 cycles. I take 10mg. I also take clexane.
Ive just called my fs and they are going to call me back.
thankyou for your responses. I usually follow the monash ivf sheet which my nurse puts together, but she hasdnt written the advice about the clexane and prednisolone on it. My old nurse use to go over everything and tell me what to start taking when. I feel like an idiot but at the same time Im annoyed at my nurse.
