Dear kiwi my heart broke for you this morning when I read your post. Life is so so cruel sometimes . It is not fair that you are going through this and it is absolutely not too much to ask for a healthy baby after everything you have gone through. I don't know what else to say except I hope you got some more information at your appt today so you and DH can make the best decision possible for your little chili xoxoxo

Hi ladies, we went in today hoping for a miracle unfortunately it was not...first lot of tests show kidney is not filtering & we are in the high range of renal failure so bad specialist holds no hope for survival...we did another ultra sound & there was more fluid in bladder which shows some kidney function but still blocked as there was absolutely no amniotic fluid in sac, because of this lil chillies lungs are very small & this has put pressure of his heart which is now enlarged. They have drained the bladder again to send away as this will be fresh fluid however this time it showed blood in the fluid which is a clear sign of it not functioning properly. We will get those results on Monday but again we have been told we are really only prolonging something that is inevitable. The specialist was very real & caring & I actually believed him when he said if there was something he could do he would do it. Me & DH have been supporting each other & I think we will get through this...thank you all for your love & support I truly appreciate it! We will wait until results on Monday & then we are faced with the hardest decision a person will ever have to make, We love our lil chilli so much we cannot not stand to see him suffer & we would rather suffer in his place...this is something we need to consider & if we chose to go down that path I hope you will not judge us...

Kiwi what devastating news I cannot imagine what you are going through right now. No judgements here at all, you are facing the toughest decision and you will do what you think best for your family. We are here if you want to talk about it, vent, cry, whatever. All my love, timetoshine xoxo

    Kiwi,

I think I can speak for us all when I say I'm confident no one would ever judge you for your decision on this. I can't even imagine what you are going through and I know you'll make the right choice for you and your little family. The fact you said that you and your dh would rather endure the pain speaks volumes about your love for lil chilli.

We all hoped you'd get a miracle but if that's not to be we will stand by you no matter what.

Sending you much love and strength

Kiwi - I cannot begin to fathom how you must be feeling, but please know you, your DH and family have all our sympathies and support right now and in the future. This whole process is so cruel and I wish there was some way we could make it easier for each other, but all we can do is be here for one another for support when we need to vent, cry and share. Thinking of you xx

    Hi All,

Long time since I visited, have been trying not to spend too much time online as I have known in myself since last weekend (5-6dp5dt) that this cycle was not going to be a success. BT yesterday was BFN, not even a chem

No symptoms really, even the 1200mg progesterone did not give me sore BBs. A bit of cramping when I started on it, but no cramps post ET. The sore joints kicked in (elbows mostly but also wrists and knees this time) last weekend, and I knew the game was up. My immune system was winning against our perfect emby.

So the only saving grace is that we have 2 frozen blasts and they will not be going anywhere until we have a really robust immune program in place and we feel confident that it is strong enough. Seems the IVIG and the prednisolone was not enough this time... I know LIT is our next step from Dr M, but I am also changing clinics and FS to someone who is on board with immune treatment here in Melbourne.

I am keen to hear how people's FS have worked with Dr M - is it collaborative? Is he OK with the FS doing IVIG/intrallipids, prescribing meds etc? Not sure how doctors handle co-managing patients in this type of situation, hopefully there's no battle of the egos.

Sorry for the me-focused post. For now I'm staying at 25mg prednisolone until phone consult with Dr M in a fortnight. I don't have anything from him on how to scale down the meds in the case of a BFN, what did others do?

Lite fantastic, sorry to hear of your bfn. I'm glad you have a plan for next time and some embryos ready to go once you have your immune issues sorted out. Big hugs xo
