    Default Hcg level of 3

    Hey Ladies,

Has anyone had a hcg level of 3 and been pregnant? I had a test before starting contraception and it came back as 3. Doctor asked me to do another blood test today just for incase this is false 'positive'. What has everyone else's experience been?

I had a hcg under 5 and wasn't pregnant. I don't see why there may be cases of early pregnancies not showing up however? I could be wrong.

You have between 0-5 levels of hcg in your system all the time which is why they say under 5 is not pregnant. Fingers crossed for you though.

Thanks Ladies, Just asking as my doctor asked to do another test to ensure its not a 'false positive', having that said after I took the second test AF came thus I am sure that's just the level around in my blood usually. Will see what she says tomorrow about the result.

It sounds like its doubling. It may just be very very early. Good Luck.
