Default DS hates being touched by kids

My DS is 2 and he hates it when kids touch him. They normally touch his back, side and head and he cries and screams.

He did a similar thing round age 1 when he had just started standing and I out it down to him not being confident on his feet, like thinking he may fall over etc.

Anyway it stopped after he began walking confidently but lately it's happening again.

Other kids have pushed him and hit him and he never pushes or hits other kids first, or even fights back... He actually cowers down and cries and that worries me as I don't want him to be bullied

He's a pretty independent and confident kid otherwise. He also seems to prefer playin with older kids. He doesn't take much interest in kids his age or younger than him.

    Should I be worried?

Are there any other areas of concerns or is it just that he doesn't like being touched?
I probably wouldn't think much of it if it's the latter.
