I think these scans are soo inaccurate! Dd was predicted to be big at this scan ( can't remember how big!) but I remember the us lady saying don't buy too many 0000 clothes- she won't be in them for long.
Dd was born at almost 36 weeks weighing 2.2kg (and 50cm)

My 34 week scan had my baby measuring 38 weeks in size.... By 39 weeks my fundal height was 45 cm... I am a small person. My baby was almost 10 lbs and big all over. I never really cared about the scans more the fundal height and that he felt big from the outside.

My OB did say how accuracy of these scans are can be argued. I suppose it is hard to get an exact measurement and weight of bubs while they are inside. I think as a guide its good but never an exact. My fundal measurements have always been big but I think they expected bigger in my scan coz of my fundal measurements so I think they can even defend on the way someone carries. Who knows, it's a big guessing game until they come out isn't it!

I don't know how accurate the scans are either, but I'm a small girl & had a decent size baby first time around, so they decided to do a growth scan last week (at 32 weeks). My baby was apparently about 2.2kgs. I had an follow-up appointment & asked what the point of it was, but there wasn't really any conclusive answer for me! They will not induce me purely on the predicted size of my baby, so why bother?!

I had two scans at 37 and 38 weeks with DD3, both put her on the 15th percentile and by feel the OB said that she felt about 2 weeks behind in size. She was born at 39+4 weighing 8 pounds 7 ounces (3840g I think).

My growth scans were very accurate. Ds1 was estimated at 2 kilos at 36 wks 5 days and was born 2 days later 2.2 kilos. Ds2 was estimated to be born around 37 wks at about 3 kilos or so (based on a range of growth scans due to pre eclampsia with ds1 and blood flow scans due to issues with that as well) and he was born 37 wks 4 days at just over 3 kilos

My scn with ds2 was accurate. I was told he was 7pds at 36wks and to expect him to be 9pd at 40wks. He was born 9 days overdue at 9pd9.5oz.
