I wanted to have a 2 yr age gap between 1 and 2 but fell pregnant when ds was 4 months old and ended up with a 13 month age gap. I wouldn't recommend it. Although now they are 3 and 4 yrs it's great. Wouldn't re live that first year for anything though... It was rough

Yep 15 month age gap here. My pregnancies felt like they blended into one.

From the moment my daughter was born I wanted another one soooo badly. We both decided to wait until 12 months before we started trying again as I wanted to enjoy her for the time we had. Anyway it was so bizarre- I was charting and everything for months leading up to it and then suddenly when our daughter turned 1 we had this crazy feeling like it was too soon and decided to wait until she was 19 months (which we did and conceived straight away).

I think somehow the universe was telling us something as the first year of my daughter's life was amazing. She never cried and was such a content child- id do it over a hundred times if I could. Then she hit 15 months and things started to change. When she was 18 months to about 2 years we had a bit of a hard time with her as she suddenly had an attitude and was testing her boundaries.
Now she is 2 years and 4 months and im due to have this baby anytime soon and she is back to being a happy and content child (maybe occasional tantrum)

So I say go with your instincts as you just never know.

Also I enjoy this bigger gap now as she is picking up words and putting full sentences togetherand can tell us whats wrong and is a lot more independent which is good

We didn't actively TTC #2 but we didn't prevent conception. With no AF since before dd1 was conceived I wasn't sure of my cycles.

We fell pg when dd1 was 14mths old but only discovered my pregnancy in my 10-11th wk. I have a 22mth gap.

Quite happy with it. Currently supposed to be TTC#3 but suddenly I have cold feet.

DS was 15 months when we started trying as we wanted roughly a two year gap. But TTC took longer than expected, had to eventually start clomid, and ended up with almost a three year gap. Now i am happy with this as DS was a nightmare throughout most of his second year. Now he's a bit older i think its easier to have the new baby as he understands more and can play more independently.

We started TTC when DD1 was 3 months old.
I fell straight away and we had 2 daughters under 13 months.
