Mine tends to go up and down right until ovulation where I get a pretty big dip. I don't think the fact you have had an increase means ovulation isn't close. From some colour to a surge is usually only 3 days for me. But you may just take longer for the LH to build. I think as long as your tests are gradually getting darker, then that's a good sign.

I find the whole charting and opk business frustrating.

Oh no, I'm so sorry Tormy I was really hoping with the tests gradually getting darker than maybe you might ovulate on your own this month. It's all so unfair. So many of us are already good parents, or will make good ones and just can't get pg.... meanwhile those that don't look after theirs continue to breed.... I don't care if it's not PC, it's true.

Forgive me for not remembering there are so many stories in our group... have you seen a naturo or looked at herbs like B6/vitex/royal jelly?

Huge hugs hun it's so bloody unfair.

Hi ladies, sorry it has been a while between posts.

Big hugs tormy, i hope the tracking gives you some good news and you do o on your own. Fx the cycle isn't super long.

Nict its great that your hcg is nicely rising. I agree that 5+4 would be a little early to see too much. I hope that you get to see that beautiful heartbeat very soon!

Del good luck with your tww. Fx so tightly that this is your bfp!

AFM i gadgets my first scan on Thursday. The left ovary decided to play hide and seek. But we managed to see both ovaries have follies measuring at 7mm. So still very early. The membrane dividing my uterus is quite bad still but my lining is building up nicely.

So have another scan on Tuesday to see how things are going.

On another note dh and discovered last night that we no longer do drunken dtd very well lol. Well at least now we know not to drink and dtd when i am ovulating!!

You were ovulating on clomid weren't you? Did the specialist have an explanation why you didn't get pg? I know he said you had a hormone imbalance, but surely if you are dropping the egg it should have worked?

Fingers crossed it's just a late ovulation and your estrogen is steadily building. Are the tests still getting darker?

Sorry Tormy. It's good having a place like this to vent because even though we all have different journeys and struggles, we all understand the frustration involved. *hugs*

We started our IVF journey yesterday. Just the initial meetings. Was a bit of an information overload came out feeling very drained and a bit clingy to DH. It's compulsory to have a counselling session, was fighting back tears at few points, but came away with an overall positive feeling and a few ideas of how to cope with things.

Thanks. I don't mind at all. Happy to help.

I'm sure it's different in different states and there are different places that offer it. I know there is a cheaper one around but I wanted to stick with my fertility specialist, so we'll be going with Melbourne IVF. Plus they have a few clinics around so travel shouldn't be too bad. Some things I can have done locally.

For a stimulated cycle with ICSI (where the sperm is selected and injected into an egg) it's $9,650. The Medicare rebate is $5,607 so you're out of pocket expense is $4,042. This is the most expensive type of cycle. There are others. I was actually expected to be out of pocket a lot more so I was relieved. That includes the medication but not the inpatient bed fees for collection and transfer. That depends on hospital I guess but around $300 each.

Also after one cycle the prices go down because the of the medicare safety net.
