Hi mrsjones and welcome. I'd love to go to Singapore I've heard it's beautiful. My DH and I were talking abut going for a baby moon but once we found out we couldn't get travel insurance we may have to stay locally. So you have tried a cycle with donor and it didn't work? I'm so sorry to hear that 😞 travelling from Perth to Brisbane is a big commitment! What's the plans for the next cycle?

Bluesky where are you at in your cycle?

AFM triggering tonight, but they rang yesterday and said progesterone is to high so any embryos that make it will be frozen and used next month. A little disappointed but nothing I can do

Sorry to hear twosouls. That's disappointing, but at least there are eggs. Im 1w post transfer and just waiting another week for BT so see if it worked. Trying not to think to much about it but its hard. We do have two frozen embryos if it doesn't. I'm finding it hard to get involved in the may Ivf thread, but enjoy seeing where you are up to as we are going through the same thing. I'm a June baby so maybe it will be your lucky month, I will be crossing my fingers for you!!

Hi mrsjones, you are very strong to go through this so many times and the travel and financial pressure would also be hard, sounds like Singapore holiday is just what you need to recharge. Good luck with your next steps

I've found the same thing with the may posts. We have a great azoo thread if you would like to join some wonderful women who are so very supportive and most using donor. The 2ww wait must be hell! Do you feel any different? I'm trying to not get to down about it as I think I haven't even had a transfer yet and if it doesn't work then ill have something to be really upset about. I'm wondering if they can defrost 2 in case 1 doesn't make it? My FS flat out refuses to transfer 2 but I'd hate to get all ready for a FET and not have it survive. I suppose I can ask on Monday...

No harm in asking. My husband was against 2x transfer also. I don't feel different, I think it's too early to tell. Full of wonder and possibilities but trying not to get ahead of myself. It did make it more real seeing the embryo on the big screen at transfer. It's good you are staying positive, it's all happened so quickly for you (I'm sure it seems like forever though) and you are doing very well to stay so strong. I would have liked to get straight into it when we found out but was hard for hubby to get to the same place I was mentally and emotionally. Mind you it was still so hard for me too but I knew any family would still be our family and we would make it work. Good luck with the dr, are you seeing Prof Illingworth?

We are both for having 2. Both of us are twins I have an identical sister and he is a fraternal twin. So we know what it's like. The dr said out mums were lucky to have healthy pregnancies with the chances of something going wrong. But I'd still love to so it. To get the decision hasn't been to hard for us. I know we both want to parents more than anything. I just hope we have made the right one and our kids don't grow up hating us for it. We will see how many eggs I get tomorrow....

Good luck, take it easy. If you both want 2 then you should tell them to transfer 2. There is a spot on the form for it and you should have the final say. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you for tomorrow

    Hi ladies!
I haven't had a chance to read through all of your comments properly (at work atm) just wanted to write to and say how great it is to find people in the same situation (not great that any of us are going through this, just good that there are others who understand).

DH and I have been trying to start a family for 2.5 years. After a year and a bit of tests and heartache we now know that using a donor is our only option. Currently on the waiting list with Melbourne IVF and hoping its our turn soon!!

Just wanted to pop in and say high quickly. Will have a proper read through tonight!

Well I had my egg pick up today. 13 eggs were collected and 10 of those were mature. From the 6 frozen ones I had 3 that have de frosted ok. So that leaves me with 13 that are being fertilised tonight. Hopefully a few of them fertilise since they are using ISCI. Just wait for the phone call.....

    Hi NicErin
Nice to see you here (if you know what I mean!!) how long is the waiting list in melbourne? We waited about 4 months in Sydney, but the time went really quickly. Can I ask what brought you to the donor option?

Great job twosouls!! That's a fantastic number. Hopefully most of them fertilise I only had 4! Keeping my fingers crossed. I'm onto the second week of the 2ww and starting to go a bit crazy. Just need to keep thinking of other things. Let me know how you go tomorrow.
