Thanks two souls, good luck with your fertilisation. I'm sure you will get more than one this time.

We used embryo glue this time so that's about the only thing we did differently apart from transferring 2 embryos. I'd recommend paying the extra for the glue. Was only $150.

Hasn't really sunk in yet, I was so used to them telling me it was negative. But we are so happy. Having a scan in 3 weeks then will go from there. Not sure when we will know if its twins but either way we are stoked.

Enjoy your holiday and try to relax, let's hope this is the start of positive news for all of us.

Bluesky... congrats on your BFP news!! That's absolutely fantastic.

Crafty Mummy... yes, I've used the embryo glue before, but not had any BFP. But yes, for the price, I thought it's better to use it and not wonder.

Twosouls... fabulous results from your EPU. Maybe by having slightly less numbers this time, might mean improved quality. Party in the petri dish tonight :-))

AFM.... BT levels this morning are 1450 (so almost doubled from 2 days ago, when they were looking dismal at 750). Only three follicles - 17, 11 and 9, so the big one grew normally, but the two others only at half speed. FS phoned again this afternoon recommending cancelling, and asked what I thought about that. I said, "if I cancel, then I'll definitely get no eggs, but if we go ahead then, yes, I may still get no eggs, but I might get 1 or 2 eggs, and that would be better than none." He said we can keep stimming over the weekend and have another BT and scan on Monday morning. I asked, if there was a possibility of getting all three to be captured, and he thought there was a good chance of that. I keep crunching the growing numbers and can't really get it to do it, so am in a bit of a quandry as to cancel or not. Guess, I can't really worry about it until we see Monday's numbers.

Hey everyone, just reading everyone's stories, fascinating stuff! Hubby and I are on a donor waiting list but it's an 18 month wait here. My eggs are currently on ice, waiting for that call. Is it worth trying somewhere else for a donor?

Binkee... in Sydney there are just two clinics that do anonymous donor sperm - IVFAustralia has a wait list currently of 3-4 months, while Fertility First have no waiting period at all. Both IVFA and FF had about 20-24 donors on their list when I last looked at them. Not many Australian donors on either list, so it's supplemented with American donors, so the costs for those are more than the Australian donors. I'm currently about to have my third and last go with the donor at IVFA, so am likely to move clinics to FF to continue future cycles.

    There's also Fertility East.

And someone told me recently that the cheapie clinic at Westmead does donor sperm, but I was pretty sure they don't or we would've considered that option.

Forgot to say, apparently QLD is quicker for waiting lists.

Also, I found the IVFA had mostly local donors & hardly any American ones when we were looking at it. But it prob fluctuates.

Thanks for the information, will look into these. Does that mean I would have to go through another ivf cycle somewhere else, going through all those needles was horrible! Waiting lists in Perth are pretty bad, we've been trying for about 4 years now and have only just been put on the waiting list here.

@Binkee, you can arrange to have your eggs transferred to another clinic. There would be a transport fee involved. They would then treat your cycle like a frozen embryo transfer (either medicated or natural).

I did one similar cycle with frozen eggs. Is there a specific reason that you had your eggs frozen? I had mine frozen after no sperm were found during a cycle. Did they give you any indication of likely success with frozen eggs, as my understanding is that the success rate is fairly low.
