    Default Labor waste

The Little Book of Big Labor Waste.

    http://lpa.webcontent.s3.amazonaws.c...or%20Waste.pdf

The numbers are amazing, but not really a surprise. The incompetence of this government will be hard to beat.
Is there anything that they have actually got right?

If the link was to an independent source I might take the time to look at it, but it is Liberal spin, so I will pass.

Somehow I don't think it would matter where you got any info regarding the issue of the waste of money of this Labor government. It's so blatent that there's no turning a blind eye.

The carbon tax advertising to me was such a laugh. Having Cate Blanchett, Michael Caton etc saying "say yes" to something we never had a choice in.

And who could forget $350 for set top boxes - I bought a new one for me for $40. I could've made that $67M cost be under $10M

The fact that Australia has one of the strongest post GFC economies in the world seems to be conveniently overlooked by liberal supporters.

I put that down to the position Australia went into the GFC with, not how it was managed during. During the GFC, the government put a lot of money into short term bandaids, not into infrastructure for longer term solutions.

Australia's economy is going down the same track as a lot of other countries very quickly at the moment.

And I am sure a book can be written on Liberal waste as well, personally I think some of the 'pokes' in the book are a bit rich, there is no easy answer to asylum seekers, the libs have no clue or real alternative to the nbn, yep - no argument they should restrict live trade export, the labor party wouldn't need to spend as much money on spin drs if Abbott didn't talk ****e every time he opens his mouth etc etc

That was a matter of equity. The market value of set top boxes at the time that the closure of analogue singnals would be turned off was announced was much higher and many disadvanted Australians, many of whom are housebound due to disability, struggle to scrape together $40 for medications or therapy, let alone for a set top box.

I agree and I also think we all know how this generally pans out.. Labor inherits surplus, spends, loses election, leaves massive deficit. Unemployment is looking at hitting 6%. I normally stay out of these threads but I would be very surprised if Labor wins this one.
