    Default Expiry date, false positive?

A bit of back story, DH and I were diagnosed with unexplained infertility and after 3 cycles of ICSI, our DS is now 12.5months old.

So we're not trying not to TTC. My period is due today and I noticed that my box of FRER tests have an expiry date of 05-2013. I thought I'd do a test for kicks, the last test would only go to waste.

But it came up positive. Which is great news, but after our IVF journey, I don't want to get excited too soon.

So my question is, has anyone had a false positive with borderline expired HPTs? Thanks in advance!

I don't know but how awesome would it be if it were positive!!!

My SIL had so many dramas conceiving her first & then fell accidentally with second.

Same thing, had a test sitting around & did it cause she felt weird. Her test would've been borderline I would think cause I know she didn't buy one to test with.

Thanks. I had a really vivid dream about 4-5 days ago that I got a BFP, so its been on my mind a bit. Strangely enough in my dream there was a possible problem with that test too!

The test is valid until the end of the month so strictly speaking it has not expired and there is no reason why it should not work.as long as the control and pos lines appeared in the correct timeframe.

Thanks Carpe Diem. The company just called me back and confirmed that if its still used within the month of expiry, then its still accurate.

    Holy sh!t, I'm pregnant!
