There is a clear reason for this - it's because more chefs are men, because cheffing (new word) is one of the most un-family-friendly careers out there!

Its just like those (idiotic/clueless) guys out there who make those comments that most of the geniuses in history were male... Um hello, women were not permitted access to education until fairly recently!! Not to mention many of the brilliant ideas of women were stolen and published by men!

    Good point on both counts!

What about hairdressing though!? That one baffles me.

It's a ridiculous sexist idea. Disappointing. But not surprising. Rubbish television. IMO

I'm a female and a chef! Believe me women are just as bad as men in kitchens so let's see what master chef brings lol

You are all unbelievable. Perhaps it says a lot more about your own insecurities as women than it does masterchef. I believe Equality, but I also think that too many people lack the intelligence and confidence to have a laugh at themselves. Some of you are seriously hypocritical, being offended because I make a joke about hormones yet you all mock and directly belittle people. Mmmmm....perhaps you all should take a serious look at yourselves!!!

Hijack - I used to have a cat named pussy. I was only 5 when I named him.

Oh I loathe that word when not used in the throes of passion.

Couldnt care less about the girls vs boys theme. The show was obviously getting stale so they needed a gimmick.

Further to my last post, I also envy peppy pussies. I'm taking a serious look at mine right now
