I'm not pregnant, just one of those humourless feminists.

I'm not pregnant either, I just don't find sexist stereotypes funny. There are many more creative and entertaining things they could have done to revitalise the show instead of dragging up boring, tacky and sexist ideas.
It's interesting that you blame "hormones" for women not liking this battle of the sexes stuff

Not pregnant either. I just feel like they could have promoted the show differently without all of the sexist comments.

For those thinking it is just a bit of harmless fun, this opinion piece puts it way better than I could:

Excerpt: This is not to say that MasterChef's Stepford wives dancing with shopping trolleys have a direct impact on the treatment of women. Yet the continued acceptance of gender stereotypes as fact, and even as subjects of amusement, imprints the belief that gender inequality is the result of natural differences rather than discrimination.

Yup. I loathe this sort of crap, and then the whole "Lighten up!" Gender stereotyping does no good, just as racial, cultural and sexual stereotyping does no good.

People say that we're over thinking it, well maybe they aren't thinking about it enough.

Yeah, you're probably not getting laid either, which is why you don't 'get' the joke.
