Does anybody have any experience with using Vitex to lengthen ones cycle generally as well as luteal phase? I have short cycles, looking to get them up to 27/28 days

I took vitamin b6 100mg per day, in the first month luteal phase increased from 9/10 to 11/12 days, in the second month I ovulated early cd12 and luteal phase was supposed to be 14 days but I got my BFP that month so can't be sure

I'm not sure sorry. Why is it that you want to take both?

Vitex has regulated my cycles to 28-30 days & shorter but heavier AF but when I last came off it I crashed & burned as it can mask mineral defiencies (I'm anemic ) & I'm wanting to start the pill as I'm no longer TTC but I would like to keep the regularity I have now so that's why I'm asking if I can take both at same time

Oh ok. I thought they both regulated cycles so thought there may have been another reason you wanted to use both.

Yer I think so but having had issues with break through bleeds etc on pills before I was thinking maybe the vitex could help stop that but I spoke to chemist who advised against using both at same time as vitex counteracts the effectiveness of oral contraceptives

Its probably best to see a proper naturopath about it. If u dont want to have a consultation, alot of health food stores have qualified naturopaths working there that u could ask. At least that way u know ur getting the right info
