From my point of view and having three kids, we only have a three bedroom house as the two older girls (3 & 7) share a room, and the baby gets the other room. If we were to have another one then a 4 bedroom house may be called for...
We have a small car and only now, just starting to realise we need to upgrade, but would be doing that anyway as our car is ready to be traded, kids or no kids.

The only obsticle is the emotional one, and I am sure you will work it out. Everything else is trivial..

    Good Luck
P.s. three kids are great! Especially being all girls!!

I will be having 4 kids in a 3 bedroom house. ATM I have the boys sharing, but when the baby is born, DH wants to put DD in with them for the first few months so that the baby doesn't wake her up.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with kids sharing rooms.

We have a 2002 Magna station wagon....which used to fit 2 booster seats and a car seat quite comfortably (think it depends on the size of your car seat). We will be keeping this car and having a dic-kie (hyphenating for the language filter) seat put in the back. DS2 will sit there by himself when we all go out together and will sit with the baby when the older kids are at school.

Have a chat with him about it all, talk about why you want more and why he doesn't. You may be able to come to some sort of a compromise.

I dropped little hints to DH about wanting a 3rd. It was actually DH who decided that we should start trying straight away.
We have bought the bigger car but we still have a 3 bedroom house, ideally we would like a 4 bedroom place so each bub could have their own room. That's down the track a little till we find out where we go with DH's work.
