Im a bit of a novice at the keeping track, but I would suggest tracking your cycles using something like the fertility friend site

Sometimes I find it hard to track using calendars and apps because I have a long cycle. It took us 10 months to fall with my DS. I fell pregnant when I started to pay attention to my cervical mucus. I know it's gross but when you have more discharge that is like egg whites in consistency, you are generally ovulating. It's your body's natural way of helping you get pregnant because it is more lubricated for sex, and the consistency is perfect for sperm to travel quickly and easily to your released egg
Sorry for TMI lol but trust me, it works!

I used the what to expect fertility app. Helped me go off the pill and not get pregnant for 6 months by using protection on O week. Then when we were ready we followed it and got pregnant first go. All 3 times we have had success. All you need is the dates of your period for a month or so. Good luck.

I've started using OPKs this month and also use some apps just so I can track and be aware of the timings. it works!

I bought a saliva ovulation test kit and that's easy to use. We have only started trying in the last 3 weeks and I missed the first 'window'. It only cost $50 (compared with a $80 maybe baby I thought it was good value. I have also started taking down the dates of my period etc... yes I'm am novice too!

Jesska, don't worry, I do not think it is gross. I have read some articles about it and it seems to be a cool way how to keep track together with measuring BBT. I never though about the connection for making it easier to get pregnant, makes sense, haha! But my cycle is long as well and not really regular. Do you think it will make it harder for me to keep track?

May, do the apps work if the cycle length differ each month?
