Or just say you are on an antibiotic with which you can't drink....people wont be rude enough to ask details.

If it was a home party, have heaps of ideas. However, just have DH order for you. My best friend would order cocktails for me and tell them ' she is pregnant, but no-one knows, so Mojito with no alocohol' Worked a treat. Bar staff are use to it.
Make sure you drink slowly all night, so that if someone buys you a drink, it won't look suss that you are not drinking quickly, then when pass onto DH when you can.
Also if you are entranched in a conversation, glass in hand - take a sip here and there, it is ok! I can't believe the amount of women who still have a glass a wine a week! Not for me, but it will be fine

Rainbow's and J's ideas are good. What do you normally drink? Spirit with a mixer would be easier to cover than wine.

It could be that DH is going to end really drunk, drinking your drinks and his own

Nobody will believe me as some know we're trying and it is my birthday after all lol

I normally drink wine or champers but this is a Spanish bar so probably sangria. Was thinking I could try and get them to make me cocktails without the alcohol (mock tails even though they aren't on the menu)

it is so difficult channy!!! I went to a good friends engagement party when i was 5 weeks pregnant and my excuse was that I was on call for work. and it wasnt even a lie I actually was on call and we left at 11.30pm because i got a call to go in to work (being a midwife i thought ppl would never question it). anyway a couple weeks later my dh was asked by his mate if i was pregnant because his wife said i wasnt drinking!!! aagh - even excuses that r not lies dont seem to work!
so in the end even if ppl will suspect it you can just deny deny deny!

It's already started, I went to DH mates house for dinner last wk and declined wine, he texted DH asking later that night. Dam being such an enthusiastic drinker lol, makes it hard when u stop to fake it.

It'll be interesting to see how big bub actually is. How accurate are these scans?

Sounds like pretending is the way to go, if you're known to drink, otherwise everyone will speculate.
