Am hoping the orthopedic Dr will say that the injection is enough for another few years. Not sure I could look after DP post surgery with a newborn and he will be immobile for weeks. Plus would like to wait another 5-10yrs before he has his first shoulder replacement as they only last about 15yrs and you can only have 2.

Channy, I'm the same, would live to take 52 weeks off, but we can't afford for me to do that. My work pays 12 weeks then 18 weeks from govt. I think all up I'll be off about 32 weeks. I try to make myself feel better by thinking that the sooner I get back to work, the sooner we can look at trying for our next. I want them close together and am already on the wrong side of 30

I don't work for the govt, just got lucky with a company that offers paid maternity leave. 18 weeks is way too short, especially if you start leave before bub is born. Hopefully you can save lots and buy yourself more time.
