They didn't have the balls to tell me the real reason (the fact that I am female!) they just said they don't need my position anymore. My ******* of a boss was so happy to get rid of me he couldn't stop smiling!! Grr.

I don't know what to do. I need to find a job within 8 weeks otherwise I won't get PPL at the end of the year. More stress I didn't need

Yep that's correct, so as long as I find a job within 8 weeks for the next 5 months I'll get ppl of not i will get the baby bonus.

i get a payout of 4 weeks so not much at all but better than nothing. Only reason I got the payout was because in my contract they legally had to give me 4 weeks notice but they didn't. They fired me 15 minutes before home time.

Rainbow: I'm glad you are having a good day and that the old house is nearly off your hands.

Michelle: I'd be checking the legality and possible unfair dismissal, especially if they then replace you. But in all honesty getting out of there is going to be so much better for you and bub. Just have everything crossed that you find something else now.

Just to give some of you ladies a chuckle. Was talking to my friend about what to pack in my bag for hospital and mentioned I had packed some powerade. She said the best she found was ice-water. I said that the hospital has both ice and water which we decided was a good thing could you imagine how much trouble some poor partner would get into from his pregnant labouring mrs if he tried to bring an unmelted bag of ice to hospital and failed?
