Did anyone else have really bad insomnia early on?

I get so tired and I am in bed by 8pm each night but I wake up at 1am every morning and stay awake until about 6am.

Then I am sleepy all day.

It is doing my head in

Yep - I had a couple of weeks where I was so tired, but then would be up at 2am or 4am and be up all day and felt fine! But I have gotten over that stage and now sleep really well, except waking up a few times to pee!

Toni do you have any other symptoms or just the headache? If you have visual disturbance or pain above uterus make sure you give the ob a call. Hope it goes away soon

    Rainbow congrats it's so exciting

Mcb I haven't had pregnancy insomnia sorry. I have only had a couple of nights of being awake.

Choccie name him what you want. Axle is a great name, just do it. Once it's on the birth certificate no one can change your mind. When are you going home?
    Hope your doing well.

Miss x lovely mummy to be day for you.

My dh was amaZing and helped clean all day as we had rellies over. He really is divine

Fel how are you going? How's the BP? Are you having monitoring yet.

Lilsmurfy not long till your break now are you counting down?

Afm I have become an irrational pregnant woman. Almost 38 weeks and I'm getting cranky at everything! Poor dh, can't believe how amazingly he has put up with me. He is so patient.

    Good morning all.

I slept really well early in, but the insomnia is terrible now. I struggle to get to sleep, then I wake up heaps during the night.

Choccie, I agree with the others, name bub whatever you and DH want to, and don't worry about what anyone thinks. He is your baby not theirs.

Toni, I hope your headache goes soon.

Rainbow, I'm glad your boss was happy for you.

AFM, I'm exhausted today. Coming to work is becoming a real struggle. At this stage I have 7 weeks until I finish work, and I have to take a week of annual leave either starting 10/6 or 17/6. I'm thinking I'll take it at 17/6 when I'm 35 weeks, and maybe move my maternity leave forward by a week, so I don't have to come back. Working until 37 weeks no longer seems like a good idea.

    Sorry you've been sleeping badly

I think that is a good idea Smurfy, working until 37 weeks is too much I think... it is only a week and I think it is better to be at home resting, nesting and getting ready for bub to arrive.

I will stop work at 36 weeks.
