I think for an adult its about 1/4 cup of uncooked rice per person, not sure for children. Maybe half a cup over all three with maybe a little left over for tomorrows lunch?

I always make a cup's worth, which is enough for 2 adults, one hungry child and one for leftovers for lunch, so yeah about 1/4 cup per person.

We always make a cup too, and that is enough for 2 meals for each of us.

Yep, ours is about 1/4 cup per person. For our family of 5, I usually do 3 cups, which does dinner for all of us, lunch for leftovers, an leftovers rice to mix into the dogs dinner too. I also do 1.5cups of water per cup of rice.
