    Default Day 21 Ultrasound

My GP has requested a day 21 ultrasound to see if I have ovulated this cycle.
Does anyone know if this is bulk billed? And is it a pelvic or TV ultrasound?
    Thanks if you can help!

Usually they do a 21 day blood test. If your progesterone is above a certain level then it means you probably ovulated.

I'm undergoing fertility monitoring and I asked the ultrasound tech if they can see on the ultrasound if you ovulated. She said only if you are getting daily ultrasounds, you MAY see the burst follicle if the US is very close to the timing of ovulation. So doing a US 7 days after ovulation I doubt they'll see anything!

Seems a bit strange IMO. Seems usual practice is a BT. Also day 21 may be useless unless you ovulate on day 14 and a lot of people don't. BT is meant to be done 7 days after you ovulate so don't just take day 21 as a given.

I didn't have an ultrasound just a blood test.

Internal ultrasound. My doctor has asked for one to check lining. Also having typical Cd21 prog BT done. To book in ultrasound is difficult as unless you have regular cycles. Blood test, you turn up on 7 days after signs of o.

Maybe they r checking the lining to see if its thick enough to support a pregnancy? Or in the case of endo I think it can be TOO thick and if its over a certain thickness it could be another sign of endo
