    Default Booking a public hospital in QLD?

    Hi girls. Im only 7-8wks preg, and im wondering if or when Im ment to book in to my local hospital for a fully public birth? We're in QLD.

    My last childs birth was almost 7 yrs ago so i have no recollection lol.

    My GP sent off my referral when I was approx 9 weeks but I didnt have my first appt at the hospital until 17 weeks

    Yep same with mine. She sent off the referral straight away at 5 weeks but the hospital didn't make my first appointment until 10 weeks

    I'm having my bub at Ipswich, my gp sent all the forms off for me and I had my first appointment at 16 weeks

    I'm on the sunny coast. Once I had the dating scan and 8 week bloods done my gp sent the referral letter to my local hospital (after asking where I wanted to go) I got a letter in the mail approx 10 weeks for my first appointment at 16 weeks
