    We're hopeless. Still deciding! Friends have invited us to Fiji but I'm worried about how ill feed my 8 month old. Do I just take jarred food?

    You can buy baby food over there, alternatively I'd contact the resort and see if they can make allowances for you. I think it will depend where you stay but most of them can probably work so.ething out for you

    I would bring my own food to Fiji.

    We all got sick in fiji with gastro. May not have been the resorts fault as it's a buffet, so it could have been to grotty fingers touching the food, but it was no fun being sick & dealing with an 18month old who was sick.

    We go to Vanuatu most years for our wedding anniversary in November and its normally great weather. One year we took DS who was 11 months to Fiji in November and we had the odd rain shower but again, fabulous weather.

    Fiji is fabulous for kids but we like Vanuatu better.

    I normally take pouches of baby food.

    My kids are really well travelled (both internationally and domestically) and my best advice, do not over think it. Babies are quite resilient. They will cope. A week eating pouch food won't hurt.
