But he seemed happy, so I assume it was all good! I think I might be able to relax about my lack of symptoms now, because obviously (so far, at least) it doesn't mean anything.
Woohoo! Congratulations on a great scan

Yay Sariele! We didn't get the heart rate measured at the 7w scan either, I guess it's not a standard thing. Just like IVF every clinic seems to do things slightly differently! I have been told our dr will use the doppler at every appointment, so I guess we get to hear a heartbeat in 2 weeks.

I'm going along well, so far as I know, I have been queasy in the evenings for a few weeks but not enough to put me off food. Something else to add to the list to help with MS is baked beans, or the tinned Four Bean Mix you put in a salad - I read that the protein in beans/legumes can help and on the days I eat those I don't feel as bad, so maybe some truth in it.

I am struggling a little with worrying whether I am keeping the baby "safe". It feels like I'm constantly on edge ,on the lookout for the wrong foods or exposure to chemicals, which is a bit wearing - but I think it comes from having to go through so much to get this baby and first trimester being such a delicate time. Hopefully that will ease back to reasonable paranoia with time!

I've had to buy some new office-suitable pants and that's been confusing - the maternity stuff in my size just falls right off, so I've gone up a size in normal-wear and stuck with elastic waists. Is that what I'm meant to do? Why isn't this in any of the pregnancy books?

Excellent! I am so happy to hear this. The time between scans is such a stressful time.

Great news Sariele, must be a relief

I am feeling a bit panicked tonight because I did a clear blue digital at lunchtime (not first wee of the days, so I am not sure it affects it at this stage) but its coming up as 2 to 3 weeks pregnant and I am 5w 4d so I am worried my hcg is dropping. My last pregnancy didn't grow beyond 6 weeks so now its worrying me. I am going for a another blood test tomorrow but I am only having mild nausea, boobs still sore and moderately tired.

Wish I could turn my brain off!

Angelmamma I thought digit blues were based on date of conception, not lmp.... for 2-3wks is 4-5 wks.

Don't stress, I am sure it will all be fine tomorrow.

Yes to 2 to 3 would equal to 4 to 5 weeks and the 3+ would equal 5 + weeks. I would have thought it would have been 3+ by now.

    I am such a worrier!

I think on the instructions for digitals it explicitly says to use FMU. Hopefully your BT can ease your worry.

Yay Sariele - fantastic news on your scan. Such a huge relief seeing that hearbeat isn't it..
And angelmama - i agree with pilbara - don't do anny hpt's anymore,, coz it's just no point. it can't really measure the hcg levels like the way it's done on blood tests..

    Pilbara - how you going??

Tommi - let us know how you go with your appointment at the hospital tmrw, and all the best..

I had my regualar check up with my OB this morning and we got to see the bub and hear his hearbeat. He's grown so much from my last appointment at 13 weeks he was 7cm and today at 17weeks 3days he's 13.74cm.. which is right on track..
so now 2 weeks till my 19week scan... excited and nervous about that scan. Always something to stress..

I hope everyone is doing well..
