    Hi all

12 weeks today woo!!! Nuchal scan yesterday went really well, apart from the fact that Petri would not cooperate haha. At first Petri was just sleeping, doing nothing much but in the wrong place so the guy doing the U/S sort of shook my stomach which led to Petri turning over putting the back to us meaning impossible to get a result. After 25 mins of trying to get Petri to move I was sent for a walk. Had to wait another 30 mins and then we started round 2. At this point Petri was awake and kicking off the sides, turning upside down, spinning it was amazing for us to see and frustrating I am sure for the sonographer haha. After another 30mins of Petri's shenanigans the guy had to get a specialist to do the scan as they he was beginning to worry we might have to rebook, specialist walks in and states "I hear you have a naughty baby" haha anyway 20mins later scan is done. Measurement normal at 2.1 I think it was. We get the full results today. 19 week scan booked for 29 August, cannot wait!!!!

Musicalgal, our doctor told us that they calculate from the first day of your last period. Which is how we, the hospital and our doc calculated. However the dating scan will confirm it for you. That said Petri was dated at 12+3 yesterday which is 4 days ahead. Hospital said they would leave it at our dates though as due to IVF they should be right on.

Sariele, congratulations! It is amazing to see that heart beating for the first time. Nothing quite compares.

Hope that everyone has a great Friday!!! T

MusicalGal - I can SO relate to your entire post. I'm 6 weeks today, and if I hadn't seen that little foetal pole pulsating at my scan the other day, I would not think I was pregnant at all. The only thing that's different is my boobs are a little bit bigger and sometimes tender. Even the cramps and twinges I was getting a week or more ago have all but gone. So for now I'm just trusting that my little one is still okay and that little heartbeat is getting faster and stronger every day... please please PLEASE...

Musical... I had a looong stim cycle so my last AF was several weeks before egg retrieval. My FS said for anyone doing a long cycle needs to calculate from the day of transfer rather than AF. She had her own calculator but I've used this one and it comes up with the same due date http://www.ivfconnections.com/forums...r-Insemination

6w2d today, and still symptomless. However, for the past few hours I've been getting little niggly sharp pains every few minutes near my right ovary, and even though I've had the early scan and there was nothing that I could see to indicate ectopic, it still makes me uneasy. Also I've been getting some big head-spins when I stand up sometimes, but I know these are caused by low blood pressure which is normal in pregnancy.

Still no other symptoms though; I hope bub is still okay and that little heart is pumping much faster now...

Congrats and welcome to the newbies!

    Hi ladies

I found out about my BFP on Thursday so I am 4w 3d and hoping all goes well. I had a miscarriage back in April and I hope this one sticks.

Feeling the nice effects already with sore boobs, ms in the morning and extreme tiredness. I going for another bt tomorrow so hopefully everything is doubling from my 14dpo beta of 67.

    Take care everyone.

Congrats to all the newbies on your BFP.

MariaA - are you using the same test or diff one's. Not sure why you are still testing coz poas after confirmed pregnancy is pointless. You might want to ask your FS or Dr and get another BT to check your levels and have another one done in 3 days..

Tommi - wonderful news on your NT scan - how funny bubba being naughty. I have heard of ladies being told to go for a walk and come back later if bubba's too naughty and not co-operating..

sunshine - any idea when you'll get your results from the US blood test. I am sure it will come out fine.

Musical girl - if you had an egg collection then you count from that day your 2weeks at EC. If you had a FET, and had a 5 day ET then on ET you are on day 19 and count from there how many weeks pregnant you are. With IVF you don't count from the first day of your AF..it's different.

Hope everyone else is doing well..

6 wks 4 days today n my hcg has risen to 32 500. Prog is 170. Phew. Hb scan booked for thurs. Still not sure to b happy or not. Hcg was 12500 last Wed. Isn't it supposed to double daily? So it kinda hasn't risen much. And I've been getting light AF pains. OR is that my uterus growing?

Sariele -i agree, this waiting is murder. I'm pretty symptomless too. Sore boobies but not as bad as last week. My nights of sleeping thru are gone. Up at 1am then again at 4am. How annoying. I don't mean to whinge, but isn't 6 weeks a bit early to have insomnia? I wonder if it's all the hormones or just a stage I'm going thru due to being anxious during the wait? I certainly look about 5mnths pregnant. All that progesterone. ...
