Default Do You Take Your Ad Down As Soon As Your Item Is Sold?

    Well, do you?

If you have advertised something online and it sells, are you quick to take your ad down or do you just leave it up?

DP rang about 4 different cars yesterday and all had been sold during the week but the ads were still up Annoying.

I take it down asap. Some sites keep the ad up regardless of you deleting it though, my brother found that when he sold his van.

Every ad I've had up and the item has sold, the ad comes down straight after sale.

I've been through similar situations where I've called for items and they have been sold.

I take down straight away. DP had a similar issue with buying stuff and the people hasn't taken the ads down. It was annoying.

I sold something a few years back on Gumtree and had people contact me and be annoyed that I hadn't taken the ad down.

Thing was, I couldn't. I never "signed up," to pop the ad up, and it wouldn't let me remove it.

Yep, or at least delete the text and write sold if I can't delete the actual ad!

I don't until the item is no longer in my possession.

A few times I've "sold" something, taken down the ad and the person has never shown to pick it up and I've had to go through the hassle of relisting it etc.

At least if I leave the ad up, I have some potential buyers to contact if the initial buyer doesn't come through.

This happened to me with gumtree.. My add went on and on and on for weeks! I was so glad when the add expired!

I do this, but I only give the buyer a week or so to arrange pick up/payment etc. Then I move onto next interested. I only really sell clothes and smaller items though.
