BinB thanks for all your support and kind thoughts. Glad all is going well with the bean. I'm so so sorry to hear about your mother. I hope she is getting expert care and sounds like she is getting great support from her daughters.

Precious welcome and hope you get your precious one soon. Have you done FET before? I haven't done your type of cycle before but it must be working if you are getting some to the freezer. Good luck.

Booboo I know how you feel and how DH is as my DH is the same. It's tough all these decisions you have to make in this journey some with no evidence or limited chance of success behind them. DH usually comes around after he gets over his deep disappointment that it hasn't worked yet again but I can tell he is pretty upset too about it each time it doesn't work.

AFM not much news as only 4dp3dt but as usually I'm concerned or getting paranoid about the fact they seem to have some difficulty at transfer so how do they know it was in the right place or even transferred so am I just wasting my time? Anyway, crazy thought I'm sure. for now and good luck everyone.

    Hi Girls................

Booboo: Ok, so by the sounds of what your nurse was saying, they are planning to do a TESE procedure which is more in depth than the TESA (which is a fine needle aspiration of the testes and is what my DP had under a local as your nurse described to you). Could be worth asking on the MFI thread or Azoospermia thread about what that procedure involves and about how much pain/downtime to recover your DH may need as I don't know too much about it myself. Mmmm...gives you a bit more to think about regarding which way you want to go now doesn't it?? Thanks for your kind words/thoughts about my mum too. Will update at the end of this post.

Kenta: Now Luv, don't start getting disheartened or paranoid girl about things!! I'm assuming your transfers aren't ultrasound guided?? (Neither were mine incidentally except on Cycle 3 I think when my previous FS did under ultrasound to prove it makes no difference after I questioned whether doing it by ultrasound or "clinical touch" as it's called actually made any difference). They measure your uterus before transfer so they know exactly where to deposit your precious cargo plus they check after transfer to make sure the emby/embies are not still in the catheter. You are not wasting your time Luv...you made it to transfer so you're in with a chance

I'm keeping my and sending you sh*tloads of that your little "Lone Ranger" is right at this moment (or within the next few days) hatching out of that egg and implanting itself into your lining and making itself right at home!!! Thanks for your kind words/thoughts about my mum as well

How are the rest of you lovely ladies doing??....Emski, Precious, Mrs P and Domiffy???

AFM: Research is going well and have found out what some possible treatment options may be to help buy my mum some more time. Of course, all that depends on what her doctors think and my sister spent yesterday and today e-mailing/calling them so as to discuss organising urgent appointments when she comes down to Brisbane in a couple of weeks time (she lives on the central QLD coast). Just waiting for them to get back to my sister then we can go from there.

I've also organised to have a 3D/4D scan done when mum comes down so she can see the Belly Bean. I'll be 16 wks by then and although they don't usually do those kind of scans until you're much further along, when I explained to them why I wanted it done early, they were most helpful and accommodating. It will only be a short 10-15 min session, but I'll have it recorded on a dvd for my mum to keep and watch whenever she wants as this may be her only opportunity to see her granddaughter The place looks lovely and has a viewing room that seats 10, so my mum and sister's will be there on the day with me DP and I will go back when I'm much further along and get one of their more in depth packages they have on offer, but this time I'll just get an extra copy of the dvd to keep for us.

Other than that, all good with the Belly Bean and myself. Have begun to feel some growing pains especially in the vaginal area (stabbing, achy pains here and there...sorry for TMI ladies, but I cannot lie) which I think is a result of my uterus beginning to stretch etc and increased blood flow to my nether regions (apparently, according to all the literature and googling I've been doing on the subject )

Still waiting for the final results from the CVS procedure. Should be in the next week or so. The sooner the better as far as I'm concerned. Will be one less thing to worry about. The specialist midwife seemed to think the final results will confirm the FISH results, but I've learnt not to assume anything and just want the peace of mind of knowing conclusively that all is well with the Belly Bean.

Ok ladies, must go for now. Will look out for your updates. Take care and until next time............

    Hi all,
BiB - so sorry to read about your mum it's very tough on everyone involved. I've just been through similar in the last 6 months with a lady who was my 'surrogate mum' all my life. My own mother also has lymphoma and not doing so well either so I understand how hard it is. Enjoy every moment and keep as positive as you can under the circumstance. My thoughts are with you and your family as it's so unfair and basically just sucks.

Kenta, congrats on being PUPO! You sound like me a lot - positive after transfer then after a few days the doubt starts to creep in. I'm hoping this is the one for you!

Hi precious - I welcomed you on the over 40's thread, but good to see you in here too.
BooBoo - Domiffy hello to you both and MrsP I hope you're enjoying Japan!

AFM - I'm out of the starting gate with AF showing up today thankfully, I was a bit concerned she might be late but she behaved herself this month. So my donor egg cycle has officially begun - or will when I snort my Synarel tonight. All our flights / accommodation etc. are booked and we leave on 20th March ...
DH is finally home from his 2.5 weeks away on Sunday so it will be good to have some 'us' time for a couple of weeks before we take off. Let's just hope I'm not a hormonal monster

    Em xx

@Kenta. This is my sixth cycle. I've never done a FET before only fresh. I've got two frosties tough. Keeping them for a rainy day or something @emski72. Nice to see you as well. Good luck for this cycle too
@bib. Wow you are going thru soo much right now and you are still here for everyone. You are truly lovely. And thank you. Big hugs for you and your family. Is going to be a tough few months for you all. So lovely of the clinic to let ou do the DVD. How awesome are they. This will definitely bring a gorgeous smile to her face
AFM. Had second scan today. I have four ranging from 9mm to 16mm with about five smaller. Hopefully the little ones grow ready for collection. Back on Monday for another scan and probably trigger Monday night for Wednesday pickup. Super excited to see any ATM. More cetrotide tonight and back to gonal f and cetrotide daily
    hugs to all xx

Kenta yes having to make all of these decisions sucks!! Will u poas or wait for BT? Keeping my fx for u.
Bib - when we looked at the paper work from urologist specialist it says TESA I'm bloody confused! Maybe the nurse said the wrong thing, or possibly the needle and biopsy r both done. Looks like we r going with there recommendation to do it before, I hope this is the right decision, but as soon as they said about compromising my egg quality made me really think doing it before prob is for the best, I'll take the day off next Friday to look after my poor dh. Perth is prob a bit back ward, prob wouldn't happen your side having to worry about TESA not falling on day you have EPU.
Glad to hear the research is going well, thinking of u and your family. The scan sounds good, great that they will let you do that. Keep strong you will get through this.
Emski glad to hear u have officially started how exciting
Precious good to hear things are progressing wish you all the best for next week. X

    Hi Girls...................

Emski: "And she's Cycling!!" Finally Luv!!! Am so excited for you girl!! Yes, I remember the revolting Synarel well!! (used it for my first 3 cycles which were long down reg's). It made me emotional, tired, my hair fell out and I got headaches too...putrid!! Hopefully it doesn't knock you around that much?? But hey, whatever for the cause, right???
Am keeping my and channelling your way girl that this is your BFP cycle and your donor gives you a huge haul of lovely eggies too!! It's so close now girl!! Thank-you for your kind words about my mum and I'm sorry to hear about you losing your surrogate mum and your own mum's illness. Yes, it totally sucks as you well know and I'll definitely take your advice about enjoying every moment and staying positive. Will be watching you and your journey like a hawk girl!!! Good Luck!!!

Precious: Scan sounds promising Luv!! You definitely will have 4 by the sounds of it and I'm hoping that some of the other little one's catch up as well. I know how important it is to get as many as possible when you're against the clock. and for you too girl....Will be keeping my eagle eye out for your update after your next scan on Monday.

Thanks for your kindness too regarding my mum. I like to be here with all you girls. I am genuinely interested and do care about all of your journeys, I so want everyone to get their BFP's. Plus I appreciate all the support I've been given since I started this thread, the BH friendship's I've made and believe it or not, it helps keep me sane!!!

Booboo: Oh, buggered if I know either Luv if they're talking a TESE or a TESA??? It was just when you mentioned "biopsy" that's what I thought as I know TESA is a fine needle aspiration only?? Anyhoo, have to assume they know what procedure they're doing and it's possible the nurse got it all a*se about face!!

Totally understand you don't want to do anything to compromise your egg quality. I'm choosing to believe that doing this procedure earlier will be the right thing and won't adversely affect the outcome of your next cycle. Am keeping my and sending you and your DH too that they find top quality sperm to freeze next Fri!!! Go Booboo's DH!!! (and that he'll pull up ok afterwards and not be in too much pain). Thanks for thinking of me and my family girl, is much appreciated. Yes, we'll get through it and find our way for sure. My sister's and I are a pretty tight outfit

As always, big Hello to Mrs P and Domiffy

AFM: DP and I got up at the crack of a sparrows (well, he did, nothing unusual for me to be up that early....lol) and went to one of the local markets a few suburbs away. Just wanted to get out and about in the fresh air with lots of other people (but not too close as the last thing I need right now is a dose of the Lurgy) have a good walk around and just "zone out" for a while. It was lovely even though we didn't buy anything on this occasion.

When we got back home I made DP and I some lovely poached eggs on toast for brekkie and as I've been craving sweet things lately (which is unusual for me except in the past when PMS'ing), I also knocked up a Raspberry Jam and Coconut Slice......delish!! Been trying not to give into my cravings too often as I don't want to end up big as a house or with Gestational Diabetes or something!! LOL.

Heading over to my older sister's a bit later on this afternoon to tell my teenage nephew about the baby which I know will cheer him up as he's taken the news of my mum pretty badly. My sister's still waiting to hear back from mum's doctor's. Hopefully sometime early next week.

Ok my lovelies...enjoy the rest of your weekend doing whatever it is you're doing And until next time..............

    Sorry it's 'me' one...

I'm off to a rocky start with my DE cycle - not sure what's going on ... I can't use the pill to regulate my cycle due to Factor V - so have to rely on my natural cycle which has suddenly gone haywire at the worst possible time. I was due for AF last week (based on averages through fertility friend, ewcm, opks and my boobs etc.) and it started on Friday morning and finished Friday evening... a tiny bit of blood on Saturday and since then... nothing.

I started my Synarel Friday evening thinking it was CD1... emailed my SA doctor on Saturday morning to let him know the bleeding had stopped. He asked me to get my hormones checked Monday which I did... my E2 was really high at 565 or something on what was supposed to be CD4 - progesterone only 1.3... then EWCM again for me yesterday... I have no idea what's going on. Still on synarel - have to have another BT on Thurs to check where my hormones are at. I have no idea what will happen if my hormones are out... I have no idea where I am at in my cycle either, my boobs hurt again today. I'm frustrated at my body, annoyed, ****ed off that things just can't go to plan after so much waiting, anguish cost and preparation. I've had more than one cry over this (bloody Synarel!).

thanks for listening to my rant...

    Hi Ladies...................

Emski: Well, WTF is going on I wonder?? It would appear from your description of AF that perhaps you had an anovulatory cycle or a withdrawal bleed?? Yet the symptoms you've described would indicate you did ovulate?? Am just wondering if the Synarel is mucking around your hormones considering it does put you into a temporary menopause??

Try not to panic just yet and see what Thurs brings ok Luv?? Could just be a wee glitch in the program I totally understand why you're frustrated though and you've got every right to be. Yep, bloody Synarel allright!! Am keeping my things take a turn for the better after BT on Thurs. Don't ever apologise for a "me" post. Christ knows I've ranted and raved loads of times here since this thread started and no doubt will continue to do so in the future!!! Am happy to listen to you rant anytime!!

Mrs P: Welcome home Luv!!! Am glad to hear you and your family made it home safe and sound and had a great time on your holidays Back to reality hey???

Kenta: How's the 2wTorture going girl?? You're getting to the pointy end now. Am thinking of you and keeping my and sending you for a BFP!!

Precious: How did your scan go yesterday?? All set for EPU tomorrow Luv?? Good luck if you are!!! and for you too.

Booboo: DH all set for Fri?? How are you both holding up?? Will be thinking of you and hoping they hit the motherload and get plenty to use and freeze

Hello to my girl Domiffy too

AFM: Am due to go and see WDA tomorrow for a wee check up. I think the stress of my mum is catching up with me as I haven't been sleeping all that well and have been experiencing more pains over the last few days (no spotting or bleeding though which is reassuring in a way).

I'm sure it's all just "growing pains" but WDA (after hearing about my mum and how it's been affecting me) is making a special dispensation for me to come in for a quick scan to make sure BellyBean is ok. I was officially released from his care 3 weeks ago, but as I found out today, he never stops caring God love him!!!

My sister and I have also heard from one of mum's oncology doctor's (the head honcho one looking after mum) and he's organised for her notes to be sent down here from her hospital where she lives and an urgent appointment has been made for when she's down here to discuss further treatment (if there is any...can only hope and pray).

Ok my lovelies, I must go for now. Be back when I can to update you after my appointment tomorrow. Until then............

BinB, - Oh hun, I hope there is a treatment for your mum. Such a horrible limbo to be in. Biggest of big hugs to you and your family.
Good luck at WDA's tomorrow. I'm sure your belly bean will be kicking along in blissful ignorance.

Em, - Agh, how very annoying. Our bodes never seem to co-operate when we most need them too. I hope all will be well, and this cycle will go ahead for you.
I'm guessing you are homozygous. I am heterozygous (factor V) and have always taken the pill, along side with clexane of course.

AFM, - I am seriously looking at moving back east. DS has officially hit the terrible 2's. But at least I'm finally getting over the bronchitis I picked up in Osaka. Got a feeling the cough will last a fair while though.
Loved Japan, and we'll definitely go back for a ski sometime. Had to cut that bit out due to getting sick.
