Well hello there Blonde and a belated CONGRATULATIONS on being PUPO with the 3 Amigos… wonderful news and even tho I had no doubt whatsoever that you would make it to transfer it is always a relief to get there and have those little guys safely tucked away on board. I agree with Mrs P, I’ve got a good feeling about this round for you my dear and reckon you might just hit the BFP jackpot this time – lord knows I will be counting down the days till your BT right along with you – what date is it scheduled for?… How are you coping with the TWW? I really quite enjoy the first week– usually I’m full of hope and optimism… the second week is a different story tho. Any news on Amigo number 4 yet??

Anyhoo my lovely I have got so much to get sorted before DP and I are head south for Xmas on Sunday I must get going for now… Take care my lovely and to you and a big hello to everyone else

Hellooooo to all my Lovely Ladies...............

Dom: BT is scheduled for 30/12 (have to wait an extra couple of days because of the frigging Pregnyl boosters FFS!!) Apparently, according to the instruction sheet, you must "wait 7 full days after your last Pregnyl booster shot before having your BT"....so I have to extend the "2WTorture" by an extra 48hrs, although I'm pretty sure I'll know by then anyhoo.

So, you and DP off for Xmas??? His family or yours??? I hope you have a lovely, relaxing time girl and make sure you have a few beverages for me What's the go with the Lap you're having done?? Going to postpone that until the new year???

Mrs P, Kenta, Emski .....How are you all going?? I'm hoping you've all had a good weekend?? LOL Kenta...r.e..triplets!!!! Not going to happen!!! BTW...when's your Endo scratch luv?? It must be soon??? Let us know how you get on.

AFM: Have not long got off the ph to the lab. It seems the 4 cell slow-poke from Sat is still going (although barely) and is only just compacting today, so is a full day behind. I don't hold out much hope for it (and neither does "Old Mate" in the lab), but nevertheless, he's going to grow it out until tomorrow and see what happens (I reckon I've got a pretty good idea of what that'll be!!!) However, in saying that, it's not going to go down without a fight by the sounds of it!!!

Am doing well, but at 2dpt3dt its early days yet... mind you, I've got the "Progesterone Constipation Blues" in full swing already (though not surprised with the amount of crap WDA has us girls on) but really, how much pear juice, fluid and fibre can one ingest?? Will have to take drastic action shortly if I don't see some "movement at the station" soon

I've also got the bloating and boob inflation happening that I normally do plus the usual tiredness and cranky mood swings that come and go and that once again can be attributed to the Progesterone (poor DP gave me a wide berth for most of the day yesterday as he only had to look at me the wrong way and I was snapping at him). Had a few achy cramps as well and a really sharp pain in the right ovary area yesterday afternoon (WTF?? Prob things just healing after EPU) but all that's settled down today. Just tired, bloated and constipated

I'm trying not to think too much about things this time round and thankfully have work this week to keep me occupied (though I'm doing as much from home as I can). Next week when I go on holidays will no doubt become "Obsess City" for me and then I'll be like I normally do until BT. I hope your good feelings are right Dom and Mrs P!!!!

Ok my lovelies, must go for now. Take care and have a wonderful day girls. Thanks for all your encouragement and kind words/wishes Your support means so much to me and it's such a comfort to know you're all there on the sideline's watching over me (especially during the "2WTorture" which is always the worst time for me when I'm cycling..Prob is for most of us girls).

    Until next time.......

BinB, the fact your last embryo is still going must surely be a good sign for the triplets in your oven, so . Hang in there during the 2ww....yes the 2nd week is not fun especially when you have time to obsess about it. My scratch is this Friday, hope it's not too painful as have to go to work afterwards.

Hi and take care everyone over the Christmas holidays. Hopefully next year is the year for us .

    Hi Kenta.................

Your enthusiasm about our last embryo is inspiring luv!!! I'm hoping you're right that it is a good sign for the "3 Amigo's",but the realistic Virgo in me thinks "what if that was the best of the bunch and it didn't get transferred???" Goddamn QFG and their maximum 3 embryo transfer rule for women 40+!!!

I don't mean to sound like a "negative hit", but can't help but think the thought anyway. That being said, if it did turn out to be the best of the bunch, then it'll be good enough to freeze tomorrow So that thought has appeased me for the moment

Good luck with your scratch Friday. I personally found it painful, but then I've got an extremely tight cervix due to some scar tissue on there from when I had a cone biopsy performed for a CINIII I had when I was 23. According to WDA, the scar tissue "makes getting through the door harder"......(hence why they have to load me up full of drugs for ET as well). Have they given you any instructions about taking pain meds prior to the procedure?? The first time I had it done last cycle, I was told to take two Naprogesic an hr prior, but it did squat for my pain (then again, I didn't know I would have the cervix issue to contend with). This time WDA prescribed me Endone and that worked better.

Afterwards I was crampy like AF and spotting, so just make sure you've got pain meds on standby to see you through the rest of the day if you have to go back to work and take it easy luv. Maybe some Nurofen plus (or anything else with paracetamol/codeine combination??) Most women seem to breeze through it ok, with minor discomfort, so you'll be one of them

Ok girl, will pop back in tomorrow with an update on our last embryo. Of course I'm hoping some kind of miracle occurs and it catches up o/night and is good enough to freeze tomorrow, but going from past results, it's not going to happen (would probably fall off my chair if it did!!!) Mind you, stranger things have happened haven't they???

    Until tomorrow...............

    Hi Girls......................

Just got off the ph with "Old Mate" in the Lab. As expected, out last emby didn't make it. He said when he checked it this morning it had started to arrest. Am not surprised, just wondering if that's a bad omen for the "3 Amigo's" now???

Don't know what's wrong with me today thinking like this??? Really need to go and get myself an attitude adjustment methinks!! Hope you girls are having a good day so far

Ok Ladies, must go for now. Take care my lovelies....Until next time...................

BinB don't be too tough on yourself. I think there is some self-preservation in all of us girls on this and although we are hopeful we also want to prepare ourselves for disappointment. As we all know, not all of this is within our control. The waiting is hard. As some say, maybe they do better inside your oven than outside. You transferred the best ones so hopefully the golden one or two or three is in the three you have in your oven. My DH sitting beside me says keep your chin up and hopefully it will all be worth it in the end and no one ever regrets trying too hard.

    Hi Kenta................

Thanks to you and your DH for your kind words and encouragement Yes, you're absolutely right, hopefully one of the "3 Amigo's" has got what it takes to go the the distance and frankly, that's the long and short of it. Barring any kind of immune issues, LPD issues or oven issues etc, it comes down to the embryo being good enough (and chromosomally normal) to go the distance. I'm keeping my that one of them is burrowing in as I type!!!!

If it's going to happen, it will anytime between today (4dpt3dt) and Friday, maybe Sat if it's a slow poke by my calculations. Am channelling all the BFP I can get and crossing every appendage I possess!!!!

Am feeling much better emotionally today and I know yesterday was a wee bit of the "Progesterone Blue's" kicking in....God awful what it does to us emotionally at times, let alone physically Of course, it'll all be worth if for a BFP!!!

How are you going today luv?? All set for Fri?? I'll be keeping my eye out for your update afterwards, but I'm sure everything will go just fine for you Will be thinking of you anyhoo

Quick shout out to the rest of the lovely ladies......Dom, Mrs P, Emski, Booboo (when you eventually make it over here)....What's doing with you girls??? Ok, must go and do some work. Take care my lovelies...... Until next time..........

    Hi Blonde

I'm sorry that the 4th Amigo didn't make it - it would have been wonderful to have snagged a frostie this time round - but I don't think the fact that it was starting to arrest in anyway reflects on the quality of the other 3 embies. You transferred the cream of the crop which were all dividing right on cue and were right where they should have been at day 3 . I think you need a good dose of Annnnjiiiii's track three and maybe a massage or five to keep you chilled during the inhumane and torturous wait on the TWW couch.... wow... almost one week down already girl! Thinking of you lovely and sending some pshycic hugs and baby sparkles your way.

AFM Well my lap surgery is booked for 3 Feb, I was hoping to get in sooner to get it over and done with but that's the first available date - I'm sure it will come round soon enough. Went to the GP yesterday to get myself a mental health plan... if you get a referral and assessment from the GP medicare will subsidise the cost of 6 sessions with a psycholgist/counselor - so I will be off to the ivf counselor in the New Year to get my head fixed... what a way to start 2014! I've never had counselling before so not sure what to expect or whether it will help but at this point I'm willing to give it a go... hoping it will give me a few strategies to help me move forward and work through some of the emotions that are coming up for me ATM.

Take care ladies... till next time my dears....

    Hello Dom Luv.............

Thanks luv, but I knew we were pushing sh*t uphill with the 4th embryo, so it wasn't a surprise. That and the fact we've never gotten frosties ever....at least we're consistent!!! Yes, you're right again regarding it not being a reflection on the other embryo's and they were where they should of been (expect for the 5 cell....should of at least been a 6), have just had to keep reminding myself that they were good quality when they were transferred and keep hoping for the best

Would love to have a massage or 10 to help me "calm my farm" for the rest of the duration of the "2WTorture" but am concerned it may raise my core body temperature too much, so am erring on the side of caution. "Aaannjjiii" may be my saving grace yet!!!

Ok, so Feb it is for the lap. That'll come around quicker than you know especially once you get Xmas, New Year's (and yes, your birthday, though I'm not sure on the exact date of that!!!....LOL) out the way. Yes, I know about the Mental Health Plan too (and no doubt won't be far behind you on that if I get yet another BFN). LOFL "head fixed" There's nothing wrong with your head luv, and its not surprising you need to sort through your emotions/thoughts and feelingsThis whole journey has been ardous, full of peaks and troughs and all consuming etc for the last couple of years for you and your DP and it ain't over yet!!! It makes sense you need to sort out the "emotional attic" of your mind so you can process what's happened so far, how you're feeling etc and where you and your DP are heading to next.

I've had counselling off and on throughout my life as I was diagnosed with clinical depression/anxiety when I was 23 (but I know I'd been suffering with it on and off since I was a teenager, I just didn't know that's what was happening to me then. Got a family history of it unfortunately) and its been great for me to help me through when I've had episodes here and there of the depression. I found it helped me gain clarity, gave me direction and yes, the coping strategies I needed to see me through until the episode passed. I've got no doubt it'll benefit you too girl, but the only advice I have is to make sure you have a connection with your counsellor, that you "click" with one another. If you're not feeling it, then don't waste time, find another one with whom you do

Ok girl, gotta go for now. Am hoping you and your DP are nearly all set for your Xmas pilgrimage down south. I hope you both have a great Xmas holiday!!! Be back to update as the long, slow, torturous days grind on slowly by!!! LOFL!!!

Thanks for thinking of me luv despite being in your own emotional turmoil atmYou're a generous, kind hearted soul and I'm thankful our paths have crossed thanks to BH (and that applies to all you other girls too!!!) Until next time........

    Hi ladies

Blonde thank you for your lovely post yesterday my dear. You always know just what to say . Thanks also for sharing your experiences and your advice about the need to "click" with your counselor. I am really hoping it works out with this chick - she was recommended by my clinic and she specialises in IVF counselling... I really think I need someone who has more than just a general understanding of what us we IVF warrior ladies go through and imagine it is slim pickings in terms of IVF counselors in this neck of the woods so we "get" each other...

Anyhoo my dear, how are your travelling today?... how is symptom watch going? Bummer about no massage during the TWW... I didn't know it could raise your core temp so thanks for that tidbit - I will add it to the IVF database in my brain. Here's your daily of and have a few of these too and just for good measure

AFM The trip south is stressing me out a bit as I have also been organising my Dad's 80th on the 28th of Dec and am hoping that all works out ok - still need to put together a "this is your life" slide show for Dad and pull together something that resembles a speech... but am sure it will all sort itself out. BTW Blonde my b'day is on the 3rd of Jan BOOO... so looming large!

A big hello to all the other ladies Mrs P, Kenta and Emski
Take care my dears... till next time .
