Default Any Mental Health Nurses/Experts online?

    Hi everyone.

Apologies cos I can't find the answer to this anywhere online.

If someone wanted to check into a mental health facility for a few days, can they bring their baby with them? What options are there for women with young babies?

Depends on what state you're in. I know most of the Womens hospitals have mother and baby units for mental health stays. I also know in Perth that Perth clinic will allow you to take your baby under certain circumstances and with drs approval. Good luck

Yes sort of...there are specific mental health units where the baby can board with the mother. It would also depend on the mothers risk factors. Eg. Will she endanger the baby.
