I don't think a woman should have a right to do anything she wants because its her body.

I'm not going to hide the fact that I am anti abortion in all cases except with severe medical issues. But I do understand why some women choose to abort (not financially ready, abusive partner etc).

But to say you're ready to have a baby.... Then to turn around and choose to abort because of the babies sex... To me that crosses a line of decency from the uncomfortable but understandable.... to the abhorrent. I see nothing wrong with society as a whole stepping in and saying "this is wrong. Lets do what we can to make sure it does not happen." I don't think women should have the right to make &@$@ decisions because its her body.

If cases like this continue to hit the media it will only serve to turn public support to the pro-life lobby. Tighter controls on the reasons for abortion may help preserve the right to abort for those who chose to do so for less vile reasons..?..

VicPark do you have a copy of the first article? I can't find it and I‘d like to know what people are discussing ATM, since it doesn't seem to be the second article.

I know many people who refuse to research exactly how the 'pregnancy' is 'removed' - because they would rather bury their head in the sand and not know how it is done. It is too distressing for them to see. Hell yeah, it's distressing! There is an account of a partial birth abortion by Nurse Brenda Shafer, which is aboslutely chilling, and it makes my heart ache reading about what she has seen. It is so devastating and awful and I just cannot believe that a civilised society allows it to happen
I've had a late term abortion based on serious medical conditions and abnormalities and you know what, I get so p1ssed off when people go on about partial abortions.

Partial abortion is mostly f)cked up propaganda promoted by pro life radicals! It is not how my procedure went at all.

I'm assuming a late term abortion is the same process that I went through when my baby died in-utero?? You're induced, go through labor and give birth? A friend had to terminate for medical reasons at 17 weeks and it was the same process as me.

I think 14 weeks or earlier its a d&c? I may be wrong with the gestation.

The laws vary state by state as to what circumstances and gestation an abortion is legal.
